I named my business "Functional Health Consulting" because I take a larger perspective on overall functionality. My work is to assist you to regain and maintain your physical functioning. With this knowledge, I want to be able to provide a multi-pronged approach to your health and well-being.

In assessing your issues, I look at posture, pain, range of movement, inflammation, weight, stress and many other factors in order to help you better understand the possible root of issues and develop solutions to becoming a more highly functioning person.There are many levels to the amazing and complex human body.
The last few years have brought about breakthroughs in our understanding of the chemistry of human metabolism. Physicians are beginning to understand that what we've been taught about foods for the last 50 years is making us fat and metabolically dysfunctional. I am excited to share with you more about how to fuel your body to prevent chronic diseases, and optimize your health at the cellular level.
The manual therapies I use are considered complementary and alternative solutions. Studies demonstrate that they are a safe and effective treatment for reducing stress, pain muscle tension and imbalances. They can improve circulation, help reduce inflammation, reduce scar tissue and fascia adhesion that cause pain and limit mobility.
When performing regular, daily activities such as walking, lifting a box, picking up children, raking leaves, carrying a laundry basket, you need a strong core, joint stabilization, and proper posture to avoid common strains and injuries.

After completing the intake forms, and discussing your situation, goals and physical readiness, I will make some assessments of your gait, posture, range of motion, physical alignment and general abilities by having you perform a series of basic movements.Based on those results, I build a therapeutic exercise plan tailored to your body and fitness goals.
