Our passion is to provide the highest level of care for food animals. Our practice, with 16 veterinarians, is devoted exclusively to dairy, beef, small ruminants and swine producers. We serve the Central Valley, located in Turlock, California, consisting of four divisions: Lander Veterinary Clinic, Quality Milk Service, Dairy Diagnostics and OPU/Embryo Transfer.

The Quality Milk Service (QMS) division is a full-service vet pharmacy providing prescription drugs and OTC animal health products and meds. Our state-of-the-art laboratory conducts a wide range of certified in-house clinical tests, BioPryn pregnancy diagnosis, and milk quality assessments.

When Dr. Robert "Bob" Harris founded Lander Veterinary Clinic in Turlock, California nearly 70 years ago, milk was selling for $.18 per quart in glass bottles delivered to your house. You could buy a fully equipped John Deere Model 50 farm tractor for less than $1,800. The good old days! Since those days, the legacy of Dr. Harris has been a thriving veterinary practice built on the primacy of family life as a core value.

Lander Veterinary Clinic externships allow you to apply your classroom lessons to the real world. As a Lander extern, you'll get to take your hands-on training to the next level, testing out your new skills under the supervision of professional veterinarians. Over 100 extern students arrive here each year from all over the world.
The reproductive potential of each newborn calf is enormous and contributes directly to beef and dairy farm profitability. As a producer, now you can maximize the impact of superior animals in your herd through advanced embryo transfer (ET) technology, achieving faster genetic growth - more calves per donor per year.
The Lander Veterinary Clinic's QMS division can be considered a full-service vet pharmacy for clients - provided a valid working relationship has been established with our veterinary doctors and their patients. We commonly work with producers to establish sound pharmaceutical practices on individual animals and the herd.

Dr. Tia was amazing! She helped our Boer goat through a couple of issues. She explained everything beautifully to my 10 year old daughter and put her heart at ease. Definitely going to be our go-to in the future for our livestock concerns! Highly recommend - and with our one experience, not too pricey either!

First time I've taken any pet 2 Vet & was so happy to have found this clinic. We took our orphan kid. We lost mom 2 days after delivering 3 kids. Other 2 thriving but 3rd has not been getting as much milk & became severely dehydrated. We were so worried & they took great care of her. Entire staff was great.

Incredible! Dr. Thomas is Simply the Best. From that initial phone call with the secretary who was friendly and knowledgeable, who assured me that doctor Thomas would call me before my initial appointment with my goat Riley.
On our first visit dr. Thomas was Friendly caring and very knowledgeable about the concerns with Riley and #1 you could totally tell that he CARED! that's hard to find these days also their prices were very reasonable... The whole experience Simply was the Best! I will recommend dr. Thomas to all my friends and family.
