Dr. Hartwig and Dr. Fleming were classmates in Oklahoma State University's College of Veterinary Medicine Class of 1998. They have remained close after graduation and have practiced together for several years. Dr. Hartwig and Dr. Fleming are dedicated to providing their clients and patients with an exceptional pet care experience.

Sand Springs Small Animal Hospital provides animal boarding facilities for dogs, cats and small pets including rabbits and ferrets. Just like you would expect your furry family members are cared for as if they were the veterinarian, nursing, and technical staff's very own. DHLPP Parvo, Rabies and Bordetella vaccinations must be current for dogs, and FVRCP and Rabies vaccinations for cats who are admitted for bathing or boarding.

One year ago, our little Sugies passed away. Small Animal Hospital in Sand Springs knew that she was dying for they were her vet for the last six years of her life, and yet they refused to fit her in when I called the following Monday morning, after she had spent the weekend in the ER. The receptionist told me that if I still needed them to see Sugar on Thursday (in other words, if she was still alive by then), then to call them on Thursday [They would have been booked then and wouldn’t have been able to see her]. When we moved here several months ago I chose this vet thinking they would be as good as the Small Animal Hospital in Catoosa. I was wrong. First of all, they never did blood work on my pet. For a new patient who is going to be doing a monthly treatment, blood work should be done first, in my opinion. Knowing what I know now, I wish I would have requested this first thing, but I thought they would know what they were doing. Wrong again! They started my cat on monthly steroid shots. They told me to make an appointment for the next shot, but when I showed up for the appointment they said I didn't

Dr. Hartwig is our doctor and she is the best, not only is she very kind but she is an amazing vet she knows her stuff. I personally feel very lucky that we have her. If you need to make an appointment with them I would do it in about a week in advance because they are so good they do stay very busy. The price is also very affordable.
