On a VA Loan one of Appraisal Services of North Alabama's appraisers used a foreclosed, only externally completed house as one of the comps. Literally nothing but a wood skeleton inside the home. The home was sold when the builder, who finished the external structure only, went bankrupt. When I called this company the supervisor simply said they couldn't speak to me, federal regulations. I didn't choose them, they were picked by my mortgage company as a VA Loan approved company. Once again the VA is on top of things.
