We are a community which understands the power of a relationship-based early childhood learning environment and believes in the immense value of play as a conduit for a child's exploration and discovery of his or her world. Treasureland Preschool is located in southeast Denver and is licensed by the Colorado State Department of Human Services and its Division of Early Care and Learning under the Child Care Licensing Act.
After more than sixty years Treasureland continues to provide a child-centered, relational learning environment to approximately 80 children. Treasureland Preschool was founded in 1956 as a result of two circumstances. The neighborhood surrounding the church was growing rapidly as families with young children moved into the suburbs.
Children learn by moving. They learn best in a safe, joyful, relational and nurturing play-based, child-centered environment. They thrive when natural curiosity is fostered and where exploration and investigation of the classroom and the world around them is encouraged.
Children's social and cognitive development is maximized when adults are devoted to relationship building and children are exposed to, and enjoy positive interactions with peers and adults.We are committed to providing these critical components to a child's learning.

Activities promoting interactions with others are created; they are crucial to a child's learning, so are frequent and varied. Materials and experiences to foster simple problem solving through trial and error and nurture practice for mastery of a task are provided. Exploration of art media encourages learning through the senses.
