Each seedling takes its own journey as it grows. Each seedling is unique. One might need extra sunshine to grow strong while the other might need shade to thrive in. Our role as care-givers and educators is to understand the nature of each child and provide him with the best support and environment.
We want all our children to reach their fullest potential socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically. We plan our curriculum based on the understanding that children learn best when they explore in a thoughtfully set-up environment while being engaged in a meaningful relationship with their peers and teachers.

We are thrilled to be embarking on our third year and transition to an in-home preschool in the community of West Adams of Los Angeles. Founder/teacher KuiHwa Seok has been working in early childhood education for over 19 years. She has a Bachelors in English Literature and an Associates in Early Childhood Education.
At Seedlings Great and Small, children's play is valued and respected. Our children flow freely from one play area to another based on their interest in the moment. Whether it's kitchen play, building animal habitats in the block area or at the writing table exercising their newly acquired cutting skills, the children make choices that are meaningful for them.
If you think our program might be a good fit for your child and family, please email/call us to schedule a visit. After this initial visit, you can apply by completing an application. We are currently enrolling for 2021-22 school year. We provide both full-time and part-time schedules. After signing the agreement for the school year along with a $300 non-refundable tuition deposit, you are guaranteed to have a spot in the program.

I have 3 children ages 16, 13, and 5. They didn’t attend Seedlings but the director of the school, Kui Hwa, was their preschool teacher. Words cannot do justice to the incredible learning each of them experienced with her. Her creativity brings curriculum to life. Kui Hwa’s work with the children is thematic and project based. She spends one on one time with her students, harnessing their passions into learning. As an example, my youngest son Charlie, is fascinated with all animals. Kui Hwa helped him bring to life his big vision for a homemade Halloween costume, including incredible details

KuiHwa is amazing. She helped to raise our kids for the last six years as their teacher! Her kindness, calm and intuition with kids has always blown my mind. She knows exactly what to say and do in every situation with children. It has always impressed me the way she speaks to kids like people, with a lot of respect and just enough authority that they listen to her (much more than they listen to me!). Her years of experience show on a daily basis at the school, where the kids are drawn to her for play, comfort and conflict resolution. And she has always been an excellent communicator with us, the
