They made a beautiful and delicious wedding cake for our daughter and sil. Many at their wedding then ordered weddings and showers cakes from Peter also.. Our younger daughter is now engaged and we are so sad to hear we won't be able to order her cake from them. Peter and his staff are amazing!

I ordered a wedding cake for 20 people and they gave me only the top tier of a normal wedding cake which could feed maybe 5 people. I had to hurry and make cupcakes to make up for their mistake on my own wedding day. I highly do NOT recommend.

We used Alphorn Bakery for our wedding. The cakes were really wonderful and the the flavors were great (especially my chocolate grooms cake, so good!). They turned exactly as we requested. The owner, Peter, was very nice. He met with us on short notice for a weekend cake tasting.
Alphorn mostly does wholesale, and their giant kitchen space is immaculate, but it's nice that they take the time to do special cakes for events like ours.

I had the best cake in my life last weekend at my wedding! Peter's (owner of the venue) cakes are so incredibly delicious and looked gorgeous. We tried 5 bakeries before my wedding, and his was by far the best so we picked him. He was very nice, took time to meet with us, and customized our cake exactly as we wanted it. He is not only a world class baker, but a true artist who takes wedding cake making to a whole different level! We will be going back to him for any of our special events!

The cakes here are beautiful, I have ordered twice. The first time, I got a 3 layer round German Chocolate cake for a birthday. It was delicious! And very big for the price! The second time, I called, and ordered a 3 layer chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream frosting for my dad's birthday. I went to pick it up, and they got the order wrong, they made me a German Chocolate cake for the same price as the last one, and this one was much smaller.
I will return because the cakes are great and well priced. I would really recommend calling the day before you pick up your order to make sure your

The best wedding cake and the nicest people to work with. Peter's cakes are moist and the buttercream is made with real butter (not shortening). Hard to choose from all of the incredible flavors offered! And the icing on the cake: their prices are VERY reasonable. Loved our wedding cake and will use them again for birthdays and our first anniversary!

Beautiful and delicious, moist cakes at a reasonable price. Been getting cakes from here for the past 7 years and never been disappointed. Peter and his crew gave us a spectacular wedding cake, grooms cake, various novelty cakes (bridal showers, baby showers) and many birthdays! Pros: Prices are the best you'll find, especially when you're serving so many people. Peter is easy to talk to. And the cake tasting was awesome. Plus they have a huge variety of flavors.
Cons: communication is terrible. First visit we talked to Peter, and that went great. But after that everything was handled by Gloria or other staff, and she was cold, not good at communication, and only would do email.
The wedding cake had no major complaints, except you have to be extremely specific

Our Wedding was on 03.26.16 and our cake was amazing! Our guests loved it. many people told us it was one of the best they have had. I appreciate Peter's flexibility. We went for the cake tasting and it was great. Peter is very personable and we actually enjoyed our time at the bakery! He is very easy going, patient and polite! As I was looking for the perfect cake for my wedding I visited many bakeries in Houston, until a friend recommended me Alphorn Bakery and my search was over. They make the most delicious cake in Houston. The price is great, very affordable, the cake was the best one I tried, and their costumer service amazing. Peter was very nice and patient with me as I decided my cake's design. He was very friendly and helpful. They created a beautiful cake and everybody loved. I received many compliments from my guests. I highly recommend Alphorn bakery.
