Sarah Lynn is a graduate from the well known Aveda Institute of San Antonio. She is a Paul Mitchell Color Specialist and a free form Master stylist. She is exceptionally creative with Color as well as Balayage, Color Correcting, and Highlights for all hair types. Sarah loves her blowouts and comes highly requested by guests, especially red heads!
We, at AVALON Hair Designs, write this notice with the utmost respect to the parents in our salon. Over half of our staff are parents themselves and understand that this can be a sensitive issue. I just moved to San Antonio and I was looking for a hair salon. I found Avalon Hair Design, and decided to try them out today January 7, 2022 and I’m so GLAD I DID! I got exactly what I wanted silver highlights….. let me tell you I do have natural dark hair, what I love was that I DID NOT come out with yellow or orange tones. Thank you so much to my new hair stylist/ Colorist ✨Joceline Gonzalez✨ I highly recommend Avalon Hair design ….. excellent service!!!!!

I moved here last year in March and was so worried about finding the right stylist, lucky for me that's when I found Joceline. She is the absolute best and is always able to get me exactly where I want to be with my hair wants and needs!! As well as the front desk and other stylists are so sweet and welcoming could not recommend this place more!!!

This was my first time at Avalon hair designs ,There was a misunderstanding with the first stylist who did my color and I was not pleased with the outcome. After speaking with the manager (who was nice to me) the following day, nothing was resolved to my satisfaction. to say the truth, I walked out very disappointed 😔 later on that same day,
I received a call from one of the owners, she apologized and offered to have another stylist work with me. The second stylist, Clarise, took extra time and made sure she understood what I wanted done. I am very pleased with the results, the costumer service

I paid over $450 and literally left the salon looking like this… I had to go on vacation with my hair like THIS because not only did they refuse to refund me for BALAYAGE but my stylist, Melissa literally moved to Germany and I saw her on my
last day! This was the worst my hair has ever looked like and I’m 100% sure I could’ve done a better job blindfolded.

I went here expecting great color after trashing a previous stylist’s work, and that’s what I got from Michelle, she was also able to help blend a chop job on my “bangs” from last year. I’m a chatty client as well and she didn’t seem to mind. Some of these wild reviews had me worried about pricing issues, but I did not have a single one. The price was explained thoroughly and completely, and I paid exactly what I expected to. My medium auburn to blonde transition is 1/3 complete and I will happily be back for the next stage :)

Avalon Hair Desgns is so amazing, they are so incredibly nice, then helping me making an appointment!! The hair stylist that helped me was this lovely woman Geo/ Georgina. She is so amazing, nice and patient with me in deciding what I wanted. She is so knowledgeable!!! Like holy sugar!!!! I went from completely dark brunette to a beautiful light blonde all in just 1 session!!!! Impossible..??? Not with Geo/ Georgina she gave me so much advice and taught me so much!!! My hair is so incredibly beautiful and so soft!!! Just look at the difference for your self!! Ask for Geo/Georgina and you will be

Love this place! The salon itself is very nice, clean and comfortable. I always leave feeling refreshed and relaxed. Sarah does an incredible job with my hair. I can walk in with a picture of what I generally would like, and she will perfectly tailor it to my hair, shape and color and she nails it every time. I get tons of compliments on my cut/color and it looks great no matter the style. Highly recommend both Avalon Hair Designs and Sarah!

I went to Sarah Lynn for the first time in November and I am STILL getting compliments on my hair. I went into her salon an insecure & indecisive blonde with uneven dark roots. I explained to her what I like but ultimately wanted & trusted her professional opinion. Sarah sat down with me on eye level and broke down a price list of what services & products she would be using on my hair. She was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain to me what she was going to do and why. No salon has ever done that so this time I wasn't surprised of the amount at the end of my appointment.
