Phia Salon is located in the heart of the Short North Arts District and offers a creative, diverse environment. We thrive on feedback and want to keep in contact with our guests. NOTICE OF FILMING AND PHOTOGRAPHY When you enter any Phia Concepts location, you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur.
While the Short North previously had a reputation for difficult parking, recent changes have mad a world of difference! This site gives loads of parking details, but the short form is that there is metered parking available on High St. in front of the salon. If you're looking for free options, meters are free on Sunday & specified Holidays, and parking is free to the west of Neil and north of King.
Aerial began her education at Aveda over 5 years ago and prefers perfection over speed & enjoys doing a variety of styles. Behind the chair you'll find her playing around with different balayage techniques & fantasy colors; along with clipper cuts, beard trims & more. Aerial wants to make your hair dreams come true.
Autumn is now located at a loft in Dublin, OH in partnership with us. She loves the energy and creativity surrounding the world of art and hair. She seeks to create a safe, upbeat, and relaxed environment where guests are confident that she will not "take off too much length" or "damage" their hair.

This was my second time at Phia with Keeley- who I found totally randomly because the time worked. She is WONDERFUL! My hair looks and feels so good. I’m a v low maintenance hair person, and she just makes it work so well. It looks good just up in a messy bun or actually styled. She’s a magician. The color looks super natural and shiny, and has been growing out beautifully!
I hated my hair before seeing her and seriously love it now. Also, Keeley is so friendly, super chill, and very easy to chat with. The whole vibe is on pointe, with good music and just mellow, easy atmosphere. Highly highly

I was SO nervous to get my hair cut for the first time after moving to a Columbus, I have super curly and dry hair (that is definitely dead at the end) so it takes some serious skill to cut + style my hair.
I chose Phia based off reviews and I'm so glad I did. After my first appointment with Keeley, I was so happy with my haircut. It was the best my hair has ever looked and my favorite cut to date! The products Phia use are all natural and sustainable which I LOVE so I ended up grabbing a bunch of products at the salon which I still use.
I left the salon with silky, bouncy hair and fresh

This was my first time in and from the very start Keeley made me super comfortable by being friendly, Covid safe, and making me feel like my opinion was heard throughout the entire experience. Most other haircuts I’ve had ended in the stylist cutting off more than what we discussed, Keeley only cut to where we talked about and it turned out Amazing! She was very informative and I appreciated that she explained everything she was doing as we went through.

From the moment I walked in to the time I left I had a wonderful experience! Alondra did an absolutlely amazing job. Jenna was amazing. I was flustered because I had another appointment for my hair which they asked me to cancel at another salon. I called Phia and Jenna picked up. Saw how stressed I was and accommodated me. She was so attentive through the entire appointment making sure I am updated about the next steps in the hair coloring process. Was great to talk to and did a phenomenal job! She truly turned my day around! The salon itself is also amazing and they use high quality products.

I had a wonderful experience with Bailey and the salon! I was so anxious about the whole thing; it's scary picking a new stylist. And when we arrived, the area is so hip and young (and I am NOT hip and young), I was even more concerned. But Bailey and the staff were exceptionally nice and helpful, I love how many questions Bailey asked me regarding my cut. I've never had that experience anywhere else. I am sure this salon is good based on the reviews. My experience was "uncomfortable". I recently moved back to Columbus and I am looking for a stylist to do a keratin/ smoothing treatment. Currently I have a long lime stylist in North Carolina she is excellent and I have flown her in to do my hair in the past when living in Miami. I don't think she is dying to visit Columbus so I am on the hunt. The people are very nice and I have zero issues with their staff or salon. But I received the worst haircut I've ever gotten. I came prepared with pictures and everything. When the stylist showed me her idea for me, I gently redirected her back to what I asked for. I'm thinking the feedback I gave didn't sink in or wasn't understood. Cassandra was great, asked great questions, took the time to understand what I was hoping for and make informed recommendations. Last hair cut at a different salon yielded pretty poor conversation but more importantly I did not feel as though the person understood what I was hoping for--Cassandra was exceptional in this respect and gave me honest feedback.
Keep in mind they are only doing flat iron with styles. I was hoping for a curling iron, but I still got complements. Dang Covid!

I just moved from California and was super nervous going to a new place to get my hair done (since I had been going to the same lady for many years). I booked an appointment at the Phia Salon on High Street for a cut/color and was greeted by Skylar. She was so nice, made me feel very comfortable, and she did an AWESOME job on my hair. So happy that I have now found my Ohio hair stylist!

I just found my perfect-match salon in Columbus! Phew! Moved here from out of state a little over a year ago. After flying home a couple times to see my incredible stylist in LA, COVID hit & flying has been less desirable. I tried a Cbus salon in July and ended up regretting that choice. Today - I tried Rachael at PHIA and I am thrilled! I knew from the moment she touched my hair that I was in good hands. This was my first experience and it was excellent. Liv contacted me weeks before the appointment to welcome me to the salon and ask about my goals for the haircut. In the day of the appointment Liv let me know when it was okay to come in. She carefully applied COVID precautions during the visit and was sensitive to my personal concerns. The music was calming and relaxing. I felt completely comfortable during the entire visit And left with a great haircut. We discussed how to work with style in coming weeks as it grows. After about 5 weeks of messaging, I accepted what I feel was a fair offer from Phia to remedy the situation and am changing this review to 4 stars. If I could figure out how, I would remove the original stylist's name from my first review, as I don't feel it's fair to her. She is still a Level 1 stylist and I imagine she has learned from this mistake.

I'm here visiting my son and need to have a hair cut badly. I started to search from yelp and saw Phia Salon and Rania has good reviews. Well, I will another 5 star for Rania. My hair is short and waive, I wanted to have pixie cut but retains the wave. Rania asked questions and asked me to send her couple of pictures for an idea. Just literally walked out of Phia Salon after getting rushed and questioned with an aggressive and accusative tone by Rania, completely ruining my confidence for the salon. Here are quotes:
"I can't guarantee you perfect results, because first time appt is like dating. I can try." Okay, well, if you can't get satisfactory results, I expect you to try to fix it since I'm paying for the service.
"I didn't know you didn't know how to park. There's an option for not knowing how to park prior to the appointment. You should have checked that."

After my initial review, and complaining in person the artistic director reached out to address my concerns with my color. In addition I discovered that the shirt I wore to my initial appointment had been ruined by bleach.
Annah and Elizabeth both reached out in an effort to correct my botched dye job. Annah did correct my color to the best it could be. I was also compensated for my time and trouble.
I do appreciate the effort that the phia management went to in order to restore my confidence in their salon.

I was really pleased with my cut from Minnie! I was in town for a conference and needed to get a trim. I haven't had such an in depth and attentive consultation from a stylist in years! Minnie really was giving me the perfect balance of providing professional input and opinions (i.e helping me get an idea of what I want by telling me what options I have) and listening to me, getting me exactly what I wanted. Hair looks great, and left the salon feeling great.
