Family law disputes can be some of the most contentious and emotional legal issues an family law attorney can work on. Abrons, Chiusano & Sceviour understands your situation and what's at stake for you and your family. Though family law cases can be very stressful, they don't have to be that way. We work with our clients to help them focus on their wants and needs and away from the anger and disappointment that can come with a family law issue.
If you can't agree with your spouse on all these issues concerning your divorce your case may be decided at a trial. This contested divorce proceeding would address the issues the two of you can't resolve. Though the vast majority of divorce cases are settled through an agreement, there are some where the spouses just can't put aside their differences.
Going to trial can be very expensive, time and energy consuming and emotionally draining. If that's not how you want to end your marriage, an uncontested divorce is a better option. If you and your spouse can agree on all the issues that are involved in your divorce and create a formal agreement, your divorce will be uncontested.

I met with Peter Chiusano January 2020 to take over my divorce/child custody case and I'm glad I did! He took all the pressure off of me to fight for what my previous lawyer wasn't doing. He fought for what was right for me and my son, not because it was what something I was requesting but because it was the "right" thing to do! He guided me through the process, and had a friendly staff that would always answer my call or email. I would highly recommend Peter and his staff.

Attorney Peter Chiusano and Paralegal Danielle Eisel are both wonderful!!! I wish I chose them in the beginning instead of post divorce. Mr. Chiusano is excellent at court with a variety of expertise and Mrs. Eisel is very responsive and a hard worker. Mr. Chiusano and his paralegal Ms. Eisel are extremely thorough and professional. They worked very hard to negotiate a more equal and fair parenting schedule, although he was more than willing to take it to trial. Billing was accurate and fair. Tim Sceviour knows about Military divorces for spouses who have been in a long marriage and need to gain peace of mind that they will have retirement alimony. Sadly, the laws protect the military member more, but at least there is hope. His professionalism, and honor to the Lord is one of the reasons I retained him. His ethics have made me blessed I was sent his way. Either way, he has patience for those seeking divorce. Will update more after divorce.
