True Blue Veterinary Hospital is proud to serve Newman, CA and surrounding areas. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of veterinary medicine along with friendly, compassionate service. We believe in treating every patient as if they were our own pet, and giving them the same loving attention and care.
Maria has been in the Veterinary industry for more than 12 years. She attended a volunteer program that was provided by her High School called ROP, in helping out the community but also showing helping them in the future the responsibilities of life. Since then she loved being in the field and moved herself up with dedication and love her career in the Veterinary industry.
Dr. Maria Rodriguez was born and raised in Puerto Rico where she completed a bachelor degree in cellular and molecular biology. She then moved to the island of Grenada, West Indies, and completed her doctorate in veterinary medicine at St George's University. Dr. Maria Rodriguez and Dr. Sergio Pereira met in veterinary school and started a good friendship which later turned into a beautiful family, with 2 children.
Great place friendly staff. Took my Dog Bella for dental cleaning and they didn't overcharge charge. In fact, I had paid in advance days prior; the day of her treatment when I picked her up they refund me because they said she didn't require extractions (extra or other treatment). Definetly trust worthy!

We took our dog to get neutered. He is only 8 lbs. They had a very reasonable price. The current process due to covid is understandable. Dropped him off and picked up without any issues. The team there kept my wife well informed of process. Next day and other then cone he is doing great. Ty for taking care of our puppy oh we noticed you clipped his nails , thanks saved us a few dollars as we were going to take him next week. Be Safe Be Blessed.

I am very disappointed with the staff at True Blue and will never take my dog back there. For the past five years my dog has been a patient. Never in the five years, has my husband or myself received any complaints about my dog's behavior. In fact we have always been told how well he did during the appointments. loved how caring the staff was during our visits and never thought about changing his vet.
Today I am looking for a new vet. I took Oscar in for his monthly allergy shot. I was informed that he would need to wear a muzzle because in his record, there is a caution comment. According to

I've been with Apricot/True blue for years now, and I don't trust anyone else with my pets. The staff are amazing and always put me at ease when I have normal pet parent worries. When I had to say goodbye to a beloved pet, they were so kind and let me take all the time I needed. If you're looking for people who truly care about animals, they are definitely the best place to go.

We took our dog to Dr Rodriguez and they were so busy with emergencies and other clients that we had to wait awhile, so they offered us to leave our dog there and go home til she was done with x rays, etc. Even though they were so busy, the staff and Dr Rodriguez made us feel as if we were the only clients. She took her time and even did a couple extra things to check our dog was okay before we left. Love this place!!!!!

Dr. Rodriguez and Dr. Wuoltee are wonderful Veterinarians that truly care about our pets. They are great at listening to our concerns and communicating with us during any procedure. These people are fantastic. I've worked with them at all 3 of their offices and have had the best care. They have assisted us with tending to many of our work dogs and also gone above and beyond to help us. I refer everyone I know to them!

I was having a hard time making the decision to put my cat to sleep. True Blue did an amazing job with this hard decision. They were compassionate, caring, and very accommodating. They made the process as comfortable and seamless as possible. I hope to never do that again, but if i do, I will go with True Blue in a heart beat!!!! Thank you!!!!

Very disappointed-I have taken every pet (personal and fosters) I've had to this vet at some point and time for routine appts in the past 11 years. Today tried to get my injured animal in and they wouldn't see him, said maybe tomorrow. Called Westside Animal Hospital also in Newman, mentioned cat vs dog injury and boom they made time. I will NEVER go back to True Blue!

We were greeted the moment we walked in by very kind staff.They saw Brutus within 10 minutes.Dr Cox and his assistant were very helpful and knowledgeable about Brutys issue. Brutus loved everybody there. The price was very reasonable. I felt that they were very honest and compassionate, which was very important when it comes to our little ham.

Wish I could give the place an absolute zero, I've been bringing my pets there since before the new owners took over, and honestly I haven't had one good experience since then. The front office is run by very rude and disrespectful individuals the man is the worst. He has horrible customer service and they all don't know how to hold animals correctly. My dog is a very loving but she is absolutely terrified of the place. Which is strange because she is fine everywhere else I have taken her. Makes me believe that they are just going through the motions of animal care with no heart

I've been coming to true blue before the name change. I've never had as many issues as I have with the front office. The old front office was great and had great customer service. The new lady I think her name is Kathy is horrible. She has failed to put my dog in grooming schedule three times and never apologized about it makes up off the wall lies to cover her but. Like they got my dogs mixed up or computer system erased all grooming apts. Very disappointed in them. Also same lady told me once, they keep Friday apts for regulars. How dare her tell me that, when I've been going

After taking my dog to several places in our location (and being very disappointed with the way they treated my dog) we decided to go with G Bar N.... Took my baby in last year for a mastectomy, I was a wreck! Dr. Cassiday was awesome and took the time to answer all of my questions before, during and after the whole process... About a month later my dog was back to normal and better than ever! The whole staff is amazing! Now its time for a yearly check up and its definitely worth the drive.
