Services
The Henrietta Animal Hospital promotes a team approach to patient care using advanced principles of medicine delivered with compassion. We are committed to our community and providing the best possible client/patient care. We serve to empower our clients, patients, and staff by treating them with dignity, honesty, integrity, and compassion.
We encourage and honor vision, integrity, and fiscal responsibility. We strive to provide our patients with the most advanced veterinary medicine based the latest professional research. Our staff values a fun, safe atmosphere uniting and supporting each other, our clients, and patients.

We are proud to be a one-veterinarian, single hospital practice not affiliated with large conglomerate veterinary clinics or nationally-franchised "mall hospitals."
A wellness examination is a complete "nose to tail" assessment of your pet. We recommend it annually for all dogs and cats younger than seven years old, and twice annually for those seven and older. The wellness exam is a vital tool for preventive pet health care at all stages of life.

If your pet is young and healthy, an annual wellness exam is a good way to detect subtle changes, such as weight gain or loss or dental disease, which may indicate a developing health problem.Early diagnosis and treatment of diseases can greatly improve the ultimate outcome as well as your pet's overall health and well-being.
Vaccines are vital for protecting your pet against a variety of diseases, and with that in mind, we are replacing our Vaccines for Life program with a program that is much broader in scope. The Healthy Pets Plan, exclusive to our practice and unmatched by other area veterinarians, encompasses even more to provide the best life for your pets.
Unwanted animals are a very real concern. Spaying and neutering prevents the overpopulation of animals living on the street who suffer from malnutrition and health problems and overcrowd our shelters. Spaying does not cause a pet to get fat or lazy, nor does it alter their personality. Your cat or dog's personality does not fully develop until two years of age.

The worst animal hospital that I have every been to. They cut my dogs nails and they look like a hack saw was taken to them. They tell you one price and then double the amount at the time of the visit. They don't care about your animal all they care about is the money. If you care about your pet I would not take them to the animal hospital

This place has 0 integrity. I brought my 14 year old dog to be put down since his quality of life was declining and it was near his time. My brother and I discussed this thoroughly and decided it was time to let him go. We made an appointment 3 days out from the actual appointment. Going through intense emotions for 3 days till it was time was rough. We both showed up 30 min early to the appointment and let them know we are here whenever they are ready. This is where the shady stuff comes in. They told us they wanted to do a pre exam before the euthanasia which is the first time we hear about this

This is the worst example of a vet I have every seen. Nothing more than a money grab. Got a puppy and have had 3 visits and they want to do more tests and have written more prescriptions than my previous dog had in 12 years of life. Both visits were 800 dollars for puppy shots. I questioned the if last recommended prescription that they wanted to charge 150 dollars was available to get at a different pharmacy like Wegmans and the Dr said no you can’t get it there. The same meds were only 10 bucks at Wegmans. Then they wanted to charge 10 dollars to write the prescription. This place will scam

If I could give zero stars, I would. Absolutely horrible experience that’s led to filing police reports and complaints with the FTC. Required prepayment for initial visit which is fine, but could only take CC over the phone which isn’t secure. Their curbside arrangements (Covid apparently) added to the terrible experience in that we never once spoke to a doctor about our cat, never received any formal health assessment that was supposed to be included in the first visit fee. Only had a receptionist come out to our car with a laundry list of tests and vaccines they wanted to do on him (including

Went there years ago and to this day I can't believe a vet pushed me to get an adult dog totally vaccinated for unnecessary vaccines. Her overvaccination (just to make herself money) is probably why he had kidney and liver issues. TITER!!!

Overall experience was fine. Due to covid, they offer curb side service only. You hand your pet to them and they bring you a clipboard to sign the forms. It was my first experience, and I wished I could have spoken to the vet myself to establish that relationship. She was willing to come out and talk to me. I am sure post-pandemic it will be a much more welcoming experience. They took excellent care of my pup and were very helpful with my questions too! Covid safe and great service.

Seems understaffed and/or undertrained. Office seems to lose documents and forms, whether maliciously or out of negligence I cannot say. For example, taking our first cat in, we were not given an exam report card, instead just a short phone call from the Dr. With our second cat, they lost her records, recommended a rabies shot she didn't need, which we agreed to, mistakenly trusting them. They didn't even apologize after we brought it to their attention. How you can take an animal in, not have their records, recommend a treatment plan to a patient, happily take payment, and THEN notify them that

If I could give this place a negative score I would. This "vet" is so unprofessional, condescending, and honestly neglectful. All she wants is your money. We took our dog there for his annual wellness check which cost $300. She looked at him for 5 sec told us he was healthy and got blood from him in which we got no call about results. We told her to look at his ears because they were clearly infected and she said they were fine. We went back two weeks later to get his second Lyme vaccine and not one employee mentioned that in order to come into the appointment with your animal that you

I brought my dog here along time ago and switched vets immediately because the vet appeared to me not even to like animals but then my dog now had what they thought was deemed to have an emergency appointment regarding his teeth And they were able to get him that same day so I gave it another try. They drew labs and a heart worm test (I asked for the heartworm test) and agreed to have the labs drawn because he was going to need surgery on his teeth and they would need them anyways. Well to find out they refer out for dental and can't fit him in until the end of August therefore the labs were

We've gone to this vet quite a few times and the time before this they charged $50 to clip the nails of our small dog, saying he was difficult. The next time we took him to Petco and watched as he just stood there as the groomers clipped his nails without any problems. This last time after numerous emails and texts to schedule an appointment, we did. On the day of the appointment we arrived on time and like the last time, when only one person was allowed in my wife went to the door. We were waved off and went to the car. The assistant came out with a pricing list of what they wanted to do and said

My family and I brought our dog here for a checkup on her stomach. She was vomiting profusely over the week and wasn't okay. They ordered medicinal food for her because of allergies they believe she is having. Told us it would be in around Friday that week and we went in on a Tuesday. Said they would call when the food was in but unfortunately we didn't get a call. Over a week later and we call, they gave the bag of food away to someone else. Never called us to tell us it was in. We paid $77 for this bag of HA made by Purina. For whatever reason these people don't have any costumer

I cannot even begin to express how unhappy I am with the service this vet provided. She is clearly not concerned with treating animals or addressing pet owner's concerns. She is however very interested in prescribing over priced medications and special food for your pet so that she can survive off the mark up from these unnecessary products. I wanted to switch vets just because we had moved and it was not very convenient to continue with the same vet I have been using for years but after this experience I will be driving the two hour commute to continue seeing my old vet. I will also be researching

DO NOT GO HERE. There is no compassion for your pet. You will be paying an arm and leg for things that are not necessary. I only wish I saw these reviews before I gave them thousands of dollars. I was charged for a 1 day hospital stay when my dog was there for 45 minutes. I found the vet to only care about getting a lot of money from me. I wish there was an option to give zero stars.

Don't go here. Despite the vet being very experienced, she is WAY too expensive. Vaccines for life seemed like a scam in the end; especially since the vet bills didn't go down. I feel like I was robbed.

I only gave this one star because it wouldn't let me post with zero. I've been taking my dog to this Vet since I got him February of 2018. All of which are what I personally experienced and hope my review helps steer people away from this rude Doctor and her over priced services.
Since I was a first time pet owner I thought the high prices for the appointments and medications were normal and tried not to take Dr. Brownstein's condescending tones personally. She was in a position to know more than I did and took the information as educational. Like others Dr. Brownstein made it seem

Unfortunately a poor experience here. I signed up for the $99 core vaccination+ plan but upon my first first visit had a $400+ bill. When I checked the prices at other vets for similar services this vet was higher- ie Brevecto $74.00 here- $54.00 on line or at other vets. It was not just about the expense, the experience was much more abrupt than other vets I've used, the rabies certificate was not signed, the dog was taken out of the room for basic services -ie shots, I was prescribed a product for my 5 month old dog that the manufacturer recommended for 6 months or older, questions were

The vet tech Marie is the only reason they get a star. She is sweet and compassionate...the only shining star in this office. In regards to Dr Brownstein, she lacks bedside manner, patience, and empathy. Every other time we were there, she would push the pet food she sells in the office even though it had previously made my pet very ill (diarrhea). I signed up for free vaccines for life but would still get charged for the ones in this program..had to remind them every time. We went there for 5 yrs and they still thought my female pet was a boy! This was the first vet I took my new dog too. He was a rescue and wasn't in the best condition when we got him. He had some hot spots, kennel cough, and fleas. The vet told us we shouldn't have adopted him and that we should bring him back and get a new dog... the point of a rescue dog is to take care of them and get them back to health. We went here a few times and every time I felt like she was looking to get us to buy something or get some treatment he didn't need done. I will say that the assistants were very nice and sweet with my dog. The vet on the other hand was very rough

This vet has no compassion for animals at all. Only thing they are interested in is spending your money. Always telling you they need unnecessary tests, x-rays etc. After spending thousands of dollars here we were going to have our dogs teeth cleaned and they demanded payment upfront, really!! All of their fee's are higher than other vets and if you don't do all tests that she says you need then you get "want your dog to die!", very unprofessional!! And her son could care less about your animal, has zero personality and also has no compassion too, This office is all about

Absolutely the worst vet I have every been to. Rushed appointment, barely 5 minutes total time for sick animal. Other vets take more time on a routine vaccination appointment. Charged more than majority of vets in area, and the vet was rude and impersonal. I will never go to a vet just because they are close by again. I was not only upset by horrible bedside manner, but was charged for services I did not receive. Would not bring my goldfish hear. Very disappointing experience.

We had a very good vet in Greece, but when we moved to Henrietta a nearer vet had to be located because our cats, as most, despise traveling. We had planned on doing some research and asking neighbors for their input before securing a new vet, but had not accomplished that prior to discovering a kitten under our deck.

Though our first contact over the telephone was not overly pleasant (it was a male tech), Henrietta Animal Hospital was the only place that had a reasonably-timed opening, so an appointment was made. I did not have high expectations, so was pleasantly surprised to meet a kind female
