Come to our parking lot and remain in your car for service, we will escort your pet into the hospital and have complete communication throughout the whole appointment. We understand you have been experiencing longer than normal wait times due to the nationwide shortage of trained veterinarians and busy Emergency Room Hospitals we are seeing as many sick pets as possible.
We are now offering telemedicine consults which will be conducted using the Zoom app. This requires that you have internet access and a computer or mobile phone to download app. This consult is not a substitute for an in-person exam as we will need to follow up with a treatment plan and recommendations.

Services
Our hospital has been serving Medina county and surrounding areas since 1994, the year Dr. Janine Pepin, DVM opened the doors.
Tender Loving Care Animal Hospital is a full service animal hospital that offers bi-annual comprehensive physical exams, customized vaccine protocols for your pet, complete surgical and anesthesia facilities, pain management, radiology, electrocardiograms, laboratory diagnostics, a pharmacy for your pet's prescriptions, in hospital treatment, prescription diets and dentistry services, including dental radiography, periodontal and endodontic work.

Appointments are never booked for less than 30 minutes. We believe that your pet deserves the time it takes to complete a full exam in a relaxed atmosphere. During this time, the staff will collect medical history and discuss any concerns you may have regarding your pet, then the doctor will complete a comprehensive exam and address any issues.
Dogs and cats age more quickly then you and I. Other than keeping your pet fully vaccinated, it is best to have lab work done twice a year, first to establish your pet's baseline levels and then to routinely check to see if there are any changes. This can help to stop or slow down any disease process in the earliest stages.
It's not only the total number of vaccines given, but also the interval of these vaccines that is important. If the vaccine schedule is not followed, a lapse in your pet's immunity protection will lapse and your pet will be susceptible to some very serious illnesses. Vaccines are an inexpensive protection against costly and fatal diseases.
Why is it drug-monitoring labwork important? It helps us prescribe the proper medication at the proper dosage. Every pet is different and may therefore react differently to medications. We want to make sure your pet's medication is right for his or her age, size, breed, and physical condition.
By doing drug-monitoring bloodwork and a urinalysis, we can catch adverse reactions sooner and we can evaluate your pet for any side effects, potential complications, and interactions with other drugs.Routine blood and urine testing may uncover a hidden ailment or condition that requires or alters our recommended course of treatment.

Dr. Peppin and her staff have been in valuable for almost a decade in their services and kindness they offer. Dr.Peppin carded for a mini that lived for 9 years, and through it all, they were always kind and understanding to the needs of my dog. And at the end, her staff were top notch, it is never easy to part ways with your fur baby. Dr. Peppin called way after hours to discuss lab work and will not sugar coat things and is up front and honest.
Dr. Peppin is again caring for a new mini-pin / wiener dog mix and Dr. Peppin gives her excellent care. If you are looking for a great vet, this is the

I took my dog here for for limping on his foot when I couldn't get into my regular vet. Charged almost $300 for xrays and told to see orthopedic surgeon, which I did. Took a copy of the xrays and surgeon said they were not at all clear and would need to be redone. Also I was charged for a urine specimen that I dropped off but they said I didn't. I sent all of this information to the owner but never heard a word back. Would not go again and would not recommend. Also seemed to push lots of meds, especially name brand. I was charged more for one month of brand name drug than 3 months of generic, which

I want to preface this by saying that the staff here are very friendly and accommodating. However, from both of my interactions they intentionally make the visit as expensive as possible. I made the appt for my dogs ear knowing there was an infection of some sort. After two visits back to back and 8 total hours my dog had been sedated twice without any treatment performed except a single cytology swab. I was told they didn’t want to give him ptsd and wanted it as stress free as possible. However him being in pain and not eating/drinking at home is more stressful in my opinion so I would’ve

We have been bringing our 2 shitzus to Dr. Pepin and staff now for 7 years. We can't express how amazing and caring they have been with our dogs. We recently had an emergency late the day before Thanksgiving and Dr. Pepin made the time for us, after hours, to care for our dog that had injured his eye severely. This was going way beyond what anyone would ever expect for a client. There is no need to look anywhere else for a caring and committed vet in the Medina area. Thanks Dr. Pepin and staff! We so appreciate you! Laura and Gregg Grandis (Buddy and Luigi thank you too :)
