Language Garden offers offers a rich, interdisciplinary bilingual experience for children 2-5 years old. At this age, children absorb a second language naturally and the most effective way to learn a second language is to put children in situation where the second language surrounds them.

Bilingual children use parts of the brain that are no longer accessible in later life. The brain's ability to absorb and comprehend language is sharpest in the first year of life and starts to decrease after 12 months.

At Language Garden Preschool, we feel learning through play, developmental learning, is the most natural way to receive, store and apply new information. Our bilingual teachers give instruction indirectly. Your child "acquires" new information as opposed to "learning" it. Because preschoolers learn differently from school-age children, play is essential to learning and developing ideas about the world.
We are very excited that you are interested in Language Garden Preschool and want to make sure that you have all of the information you need before scheduling your tour. When can I enroll (or get on the wait list)? Formal enrollment starts in Spring (late March) for the following school year. We start with re-enrollment for current families and then move to families who have placed their name on our wait list.
Beyond being just a preschool for kids, we strive to build a community of families who can build friendships past the preschool years. Our school is characterized by its vibrant, warm and friendly atmosphere. We work to organize events and activities which further nurture the lives of both children and parents We strive to ensure families feel involved and valued and able to provide feedback and ideas through out the school year.

My child went to to Language Garden Preschool in the French immersion class. We spent a wonderful year there before moving to her current school. My daughter loved it. I loved it too. Made me feel comfortable and safe. Everyone there was friendly and helpful and patient. Cant say anything negative and today as I search for a friend who lives in a different neighborhood for a preschool I am reminded that I was lucky to have found the Language Garden.

Language Garden Preschool is a great school for young children. They have a complete immersion program in Spanish or French.
The children learned a second or even third language by communicating constantly in that language with their teachers, they also played and communicate with other children in that new language that they are learning, it is really great.
