Youth Fitness is focused on the 8th grade student looking to improve their health and fitness through strength training. We focus on the 8th grade trainee as we feel this age group can benefit the most from a strength training program. For some, transitioning from middle school to high school sports can involve going into the weight room without prior exposure to strength training techniques.
He has an A.S. in Exercise Physiology, B.S. in Interdisciplinary Health from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and has 23 years gym experience. Danny has been training in the fitness industry since he was certified in 2009.
His experiences working with clients include one-on-one personal training, semi-private group training, program design, circuit training, teaching group fitness, working with junior college and high school athletes, middle school students, and 9 years of coaching junior high football.Danny has more than 23 years of gym experience in a wide range of training methodologies and personal training techniques.

Answers to the most common questions about Raw Fitness personal training programs, classes and schedules. We use grade level as rule of thumb on where a kid should start. However, many factors come into play when it comes to exercising. Physical and mental maturity are all factors when it comes to working out as well as a desire on the part of the participant and parents.

I joined Raw a little over a week ago for the 3x a week partner training. I enjoy going, the people are so welcoming and friendly. My trainer Seth is very helpful and knowledgeable. All the trainers seem to really care! When I leave I feel like I got a great workout in. They are flexible for my schedule and I like that I make an appointment which helps me in showing up. I also appreciate that I can pay every two weeks auto draft instead of the total package upfront.
I intend to be a member long term, if you considering joining I highly recommend them.

After a long hiatus from physical conditioning and suffering from the effects of wear and tear of the years, the team at Raw Fitness has tailored the program to fit my situation and are willing to alter the activities on the fly. After a month, twice a week, I already feel the difference in mobility and strength. The pace and their willingness to work with my situation has helped with my willingness to continue. Much appreciated.

Turning 30 this past year, I was really feeling the pressure to prioritize my health. I started working out at Raw Fitness about 6 months ago doing partner training 3 days a week with Seth Jackson and have noticed immense improvements in my daily life. My mood is better, I have more energy, better endurance, have lost weight, and I am able to participate in hobbies like hiking again without my lack of physical fitness holding me back. Learning to work out can be really intimidating as a woman, but Raw is inclusive of all shapes and sizes regardless of experience and they always provide modifications

Raw Fitness and Trainer, Seth Jackson, have been a lifesaver for me! I was recovering from a knee injury and had gotten sluggish and was losing overall fitness and muscle tone. Seth is extremely knowledgeable and patient and developed adaptations around my injury to maximize my workouts safely. At 55 I am grateful to work with someone who is encouraging and patient so that I can see gains but at a steady and safe pace! The gym is always super clean and the equipment is diverse and in great shape. The team is welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend training at Raw Fitness!

Raw fitness is AWESOME! Danny is passionate about fitness and you can see his passion in display through every aspect of the gym from his workouts, equipment, delivery method, etc. He's is energetic, and challenges you each session. He's always attentive, correcting your form when needed and ensuring you get the best burn from each move. I highly recommend group training sessions, I've noticed results within a few weeks after joining, and have only gotten stronger since then.

Raw fitness is the best personal training experience that I have had in the greater Champaign area. Danny is experienced and extremely knowledgeable about fitness, nutrition, and stays up-to date on current practices and guidelines. His workouts are challenging but very doable and everything can be modified to your specific needs. The group workouts are fun, upbeat and everyone is welcoming. He has created an environment from the minute you step in on your first day you feel welcomed and encouraged to that post workout high that carries you through the day, and finally to that morning after soreness
