Ortus Engineering is a private provider firm that reviews drawings and provides inspections on behalf of the AHJ. When the city is backed up, which seems like it is always the case, Ortus is an excellent alternate method to expedite drawing reviews, schedule inspections, and speed-up construction as a whole. The employees at Ortus are very helpful, and they go out of their way to help a project even if the task is outside of their scope. I would definitely work with Ortus again in the future and highly recommend to others.

Unlike the bureaucracy of Gov't agencies that can bog down the plan review, permitting & inspection process, private providers (3rd party inspectors) can be a developer's (and contractor's) ally. I am using Ortus Engineering currently on Miami Beach and look forward to this job completing so we can move onto the next one!
