I am Natalie, a Texan by birth but a New Yorker at heart. I grew up in El Paso and headed off to the "Big Apple" to pursue a degree in Fashion Design at Pratt Institute. After years of designing children's clothes in the hustle and bustle of New York my husband and I decided to pack up and move back to Texas, and here we are!

Who is this handsome man you ask? Well, that's my husband and officiant for hire, Matt Arrufat; football coach and teacher by day, officiant by night. He got his start in public speaking as a groomsmen in multiple weddings. He's basically the guy version of 27 Dresses. Each one of those tuxes called for a different speech on a different night about a very special friend and he nailed every one of them.

Natalie is the reason why my wedding went as smoothly as it could possibly be! She is truly an incredible person. Both my husband and myself at the time lived in two different cities, neither in San Antonio, and Natalie was incredibly flexible working with our crazy schedules. My fiancé and I were planning our SA wedding from the East Coast, and to say we were overwhelmed and didn't know where to begin would be an understatement. I cannot say enough good things about Natalie & the Country Sugar team! I took care of the majority of the planning and reached out to Natalie in search of someone who could help with the final details and day-of support. They had the perfect package to fit our needs - Two Weeks Notice. She took over the communication with vendors two weeks prior to our wedding date, making sure vendor deliveries and arrivals were all scheduled accordingly.

Natalie from Country Sugar Events did an amazing job. She was always very professional and very detail oriented. Our wedding day was stress free and both my groom and I got to enjoy our day with our family and friends. Everything went according to plan and she was able to adjust and rearrange our reception area for things that we had no control over such as the weather. Natalie was such a HUGE help on my wedding day and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect! My floral designers didn't come through, and Natalie made floral arrangements herself and set the tables. I highly recommend her for wedding coordination. We did a destination wedding at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort in San Antonio and through them we were referred to Natalie with Country Sugar Events. This was by far the best decision we could make, she not only put us at ease the minute we met her but she completely went above and beyond our wildest dreams. With Country Sugar, you get a design packet that helps get all your ideas on paper without it being just your Pinterest page. Reading the other reviews I can't speak to that because I did not work with Natalie, I worked with her lead planner Bonnie and could not havee been happier! she was hands down the sweetest, calmest (which you need on your wedding day) easiest to work with and helpful planner I could have asked for! The day of the wedding went by so fast and you want to just live in that moment and enjoy it and she made that possible for us. She made sure everything was in order before we arrived, made sure to stick as closely as possible to our timeline for the night and she only came to us when it was necessary

My experience with country sugar events from start to finish was absolutely amazing. As soon as I met Bonnie I knew I had made the right choice to go with country sugar events. She completely understood my vision, she made me feel right at ease even after discussing my budget. She walked me through the whole process with such ease. Natalie decided she didn't like her review and decided to call and berate my fiance over the phone about it, trying to get it taken down, then accusing him of knowing nothing about the "wedding industry". Once again, insulting, and trying to play the victim. Makes me glad I decided not to hire her or the venue. She still has yet to email her prices after having over a week to do so, but good to know she had time to harass someone on the phone at work about a review. Still no apology.

Country Sugar helped me throw an amazing surprise 40th birthday bash for my husband. Brandi was on top of every detail and came up with the cutest dessert table ideas as well.
