Judo is a traditional Japanese martial art and popular self-defense sport that involves a strategic combination of throws, grappling, wrestling, joint locks and chokes to subdue an opponent. Our dojo is located in the heart of Costa Mesa and welcomes practitioners of all ages and skill levels in our judo classes.
Our vision is to educate, train, and grow strong, well-rounded judokas, both inside and outside the dojo, and contribute in growing the judo community in California. Open to children ages 3 to 12 years old, the goal of this class is introduce our Junior Judokas to the sport, its disciplines and etiquette.

Services
Students must wear a clean "gi" (uniform) during training sessions at all times. Single-weave gi's may be purchased directly at the dojo, please see Club Administrator for sizes and pricing. The goal of this class is to introduce our junior students the "ABC'S" of judo --- agility, balance, coordination and speed.
We expect our students to share in the responsibility of setting up, cleaning and putting away of the practice mats. Our dojo does not have the luxury of having professional janitorial staff at our disposal. We want our students to understand all who step on to the mat, must also be responsible for it.
Membership is open to all students, beginner and advanced. Children must be at least 5 years of age to start and parental supervision may be requested during practice sessions. Membership dues may be paid monthly, quarterly or annually. Discounted rate only applies if there is at least one family member under our regular memberships.
Attire - proper workout clothing is required. This includes plain t-shirts (no sharp or metal accessories), rash guard and flexible shorts or workout pants. No jewelry such as watches, earrings or piercings may be worn during practice. Nails must be kept short to prevent any injuries. Uniforms - first-time students may borrow a set of uniforms to start; advanced students are required to bring their own, white, single-weave cotton gi and belt.

I've done various martial arts such as aikido and Krav Maga in the past, although every art has its benefits, I have not seen anything as beautiful and as scientific as Judo. Sensei Mo and Grace spend lots of time with the students and really teach them the fundamentals of leverage and technique. I highly recommend this dojo.

Hello Judo Students:
This dojo is very good. I have trained in judo, hapkido, aikido, and jujitsu and Sensei Mo is one of the best martial arts teachers I have trained with in years. Although he is young, he knows how to teach judo. Overall, he teaches with a rare commitment and passion to the art of judo.
Also, he:
1.). Focuses on the fundamentals and does not rush.
2.). Knows how to communicate the fundamentals to all levels.
3.). Breaks down each technique and gradually teaches you how to practice and then apply it.
4.). Teaches without his ego and reminds students
