Tamara Cloonan McClure putting on her well earned Black Belt in front of legendary Kenpo Karate champions Master David Brock and Master Bob Mitchell. As a young man in the 70's I did not have a lot of guidance in life. I decided to learn Kenpo to learn how to "kick ass." Between the teachings of you and David Brock and Mark Lennon I can easily say I am a better man today.

The ideal form of education is a combination of group and private lessons. Group lessons provide the student an opportunity for drill and repetition that is so necessary in developing karate skills. It also creates an environment of unity where friendships are created, and training partners established.
Bob White's Karate Studio opened in 1972 and many of our students who started as children are now grown up and are teachers at the studio. It has been an honor to be instructors and mentors to these children and watch them grow into fine adults. We have a theme of the month, which includes virtues to develop, such as, Confidence, Leadership, Responsibility, Respect, Self Control, Friendship, Enthusiasm, Integrity, and Goal Setting.

My kids and sister all go to Bob White for Karate. We had some issues finding a new place after their Taekwondo with Master Amsler shut down. We tried a couple Jujitsu places, but my kids hated them because there wasn't a lot of technique and a lack of discipline. A lot of martial arts places in HB/FV are scammers and run on profit. Some make you sign contracts that cost a lot to get out of. Luckily we found this studio, family owned and operated. Bob and his instructors aren't here for the $$$ like so many other studios, they are teaching the kids Kempo Karate and how to defend themselves in a

Both my kids and I train with Mr. White. They are very good with our kids and they teach the adults to use each technique with power and form. Many of the instructors have over 20+ years of experience. Mr. White was the senior black belt under Ed Parker when Mr. Parker died. He also was on the US Black Belt team at one time. I would highly recommend the studio.

Bob White Kenpo Studio is one of the premier dojo’s in Southern California. There is much to be said about Mr. and Mrs. White and about the staff that they have at this dojo. One of the finest men I know in my life. If my recommendation means anything to anyone, I highly recommend Bob White Kenpo Studio without hesitation.

I attended a women's self defense workshop at Bob White's Karate Studio and was so pleased with my experience. The instructors are passionate, skilled, and encouraging. I can't express enough how valuable the training I received in just one lesson was. As a novice, I was unsure how I would feel in a martial arts class, but the instructors made me feel comfortable and teachable. I look forward to learning more from the experts at Bob White's!

Our family has been attending Bob Whites Karate Studio for almost five years now. We have four boys and Mr. White and his team have been a huge blessing to all of us. There is so much more to the studio than just karate. The staff is kind, they encourage our kids, they pour into their lives in the time that they are with them in a way the overflows into other areas of their lives. I have seen my kids gain confidence, respect and life skills that will be an asset from childhood into their adult lives. We could not be happier with our experience here.

When I moved to Orange County, I visited at least a half dozen martial arts studios. I spoke to the head instructors, and watched how they treated their students in class. I picked Mr. White's studio. After a few years of learning karate and developing friendships there, I have no doubt that it is the best karate studio. I consider myself blessed to learn from Mr. White and be a part of his studio.
Mr. White is a legend in Kenpo Karate. You can see that from the pictures of famous martial artists in the studio. But I can tell you that he has a passion for teaching and coaching each

My husband and I wanted the best martial arts experience possible for our very active three year old. We decided to enroll him in Bob and Barbara White's Kenpo Karate school based on lineage, history and reputation.
Although our son is only three, we have seen remarkable improvements in his attention, focus, discipline and respect levels. He has been attending for a few months. This is a very caring and clean environment. The focus seems to be on the care and well-being of each child as well as early implemention of core values.

I have 4 kids participating at various levels from white belt to brown belt. I really like the "community" feel of the studio. The instructors are excellent and very attentive to the students. Larger kids classes are controlled and kids that are messing around will be called out on it. There is little messing around. Respect is key here and students respect the instructors and vise versa. This studio is NOT just for kids. Their adult program is just as active as the kids program. Adults of all levels and ages are active in the program. I have never seen so many women black belts and this

My girls have been coming since January, and they love the instructors. I like the way they run the school, so far. We'll see how the kids progress, and how their skills improve.
I devoted 4 years of my life participating in karate, and competing, and I absolutely LOVE the sport, but not a cheesey studio that passes everyone through like clockwork, regardless of skills and form.
So far, I am pleased with the program, overall. I was a little put off to learn that belt testing is done individually and during a normal class. But I don't run the school, so I don't get to decide how

Bob White has taught Kenpo in this location for 30 years! I joined in 2000 after seeing his girls fight. I was amazed.
There are students here who have been doing karate for 20+ years. A great studio for all the family. My wife and kids have trained here.
Mr White is one of the greats: having trained directly under Ed Parker. Also, you have access to amazing fighters like Jamie Matthews that you can do private lessons with.
