Services
We see people in all walks of life here at Truth in Love Counseling. We believe in catering the experience to the individual's needs. Offering many unique counseling experiences based on our recommendations and the client's desires. How long you see one of our licensed therapists is based on your goals and progress in reaching those goals.
Dr. Foster has been providing psychological services in the Bloomington-Normal area for over 15 years. Prior to that, he taught at Lincoln Christian University where he directed the undergraduate psychology program for 11 years. He has over 30 years of working in the people-helping profession in private, public, church, and non-church settings.
Although we often tend to use the words stress, anxiety and worry interchangeably, and often manage them in much the same way, they really aren't the same experience. Defined simply, stress is our reaction to change. When the change is a positive experience, like getting married or expecting a baby, we call it eustress (pronounced "you-stress"); when the change is negative, like a job loss, we call it distress.
