At times, efforts needed to reunite families require intensive intervention in order to help family members learn new, more productive ways of relating to one another and strategies for managing their lives. If reunification is not an option, agency staff can assist the youth in learning basic life skills such as completing school, finding a job, and keeping healthy.
Services to youth include outreach, crisis intervention, stabilization, emergency shelter, and long-term support and aftercare. The Youth Service Bureau's programs are individualized based on need and are flexible, comprehensive, responsive, have a family focus (where appropriate) and sets high standards of quality and good management.

Services
CCBYS program provides 24-hour crisis intervention, individual and family counseling, outreach, emergency shelter, information and referral, and linkage to other agencies. Trained counselors provide individuals with face-to-face crisis intervention, individual, group, and family counseling. Staff responds to crisis situations as the result of police intervention 24-hours per day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year.
The Youth Service Bureau's HYP addresses the needs of the older adolescent and the young adult ages 16 to 24 who are homeless. Youth who are under the age of 18 and homeless must reside at the Youth Service Bureau group home with parental permission unless the youth is an emancipated minor. Homeless youth between the ages of 18 to 24 reside in subsidized community apartments.
The Youth Service Bureau's HUD program for homeless youth provides services to adolescents and legally emancipated minors that are homeless. Through outreach and the Youth Service Bureau's intake process, homeless youth are provided with services.
Our goal is to successfully transition participants to independence by providing them with a safe, stable shelter, allowing services to be put into place that will promote a successful transition to independence and permanent housing.It has been our experience with this population that most young adults are not capable of successfully making the jump from shelter to an independent living situation without supportive services.

The Board of Directors at the Youth Service Bureau has established a scholarship program to acknowledge and celebrate the end of our former executive director's 25-year career helping youth in our community. The Kathleen Wright Social Work Scholarship Fund will be award a graduating senior $1,000 toward their education in the field of social work.

Treats youth unfairly. They allow threats and bullying to occur. Youth is allowed to break any type of rule and disrespect staff. Katina (the director) does not care about her employees. She cares more about the money than she does her staff and the youth. Sad place to live and work. Do not recommend.
