This is a great place for listening to music. I have gone to see a Tom Petty tribute band and Maria Muldaur so far.
If the band is loud (such as the Petty band) I suggest you sit towards the back. The "VIP" rows up front may be ear shattering.
For more laid back groups the first three rows are excellent.
The owners go out of their way to make things pleasant. When the weather is good going downstairs to the bar and then sitting out on the patio is great. They make very good mixed drinks, but have an average selection of wines (still drinkable). there is only some small snacks for food

Great space with a beautiful indoor venue and an adorable little patio. They offer a unique and intimate setting for some really outstanding nationally touring acts, and host some of the best local talent asheville has to offer weekly and more. Family-owned and the staff is so friendly. Summer weekends they host free live music on the patio before the big acts get started inside.

On top of your ticket you must become a member ($1) due to North Carolina liquor laws. Guess North Carolina doesn't like FREEDOM. Bring cash or you will have to add it on to a drink purchase.
Speaking of drinks, the bar downstairs is very slow. A solo bartender was struggling to keep up with a line of customers that wasn't very long or complicated. The outdoor patio was a nice place to sip before heading into the show. Downstairs bathrooms were spotless.
Is this place brand new? The music hall is beautiful. and it still smelled like lumber. It does get a little hot towards the front
