Scott Silz is a great DJ and a consummate professional. During our planning process, Scott was extremely responsive, setting up requested consultations immediately and spending lots of time with us in his office. He asked questions to understand what we wanted and gave us great advice on everything from sound and lighting to scheduling and planning.
We knew from the moment we hired Hot Mix Entertainment we hit the jackpot. Scott was friendly, organized and always answered all my questions leading up to the big day. I'm serious when I say we literally planned our wedding date around when Scott Smokin' Silz was available. We went to a friend's wedding about 2 weeks after getting engaged and the first decision we made in planning was to hire Scott to do our wedding.
So you're giving a wedding toast. And that means that you will inevitably spend hours thinking about, writing and perfecting this toast. We worked with Scott for our wedding and couldn't be happier with how the entire process went. First, he has a easy to use online portal to put together your music wishlist, day of timeline, and more. Leading up to the actual event date he follows up many times we had a few meetings to make sure that no detail is missed. Scott showed up to the venue early and had all of his equipment set up and every mic tested with a lot of time to spare. My wife and I used Scott at Hot Mix for our vow renewal wedding celebration and couldn’t ask for anything better. He was flexible, fairly priced, and a really nice guy. Out of all the headaches we had with different vendors it was so nice that there was NOTHING I would’ve wanted differently from Scott. Highly recommend for any event you need audio for.

Our Rotary club hired Scott for our 70's themed fundraiser. He received nothing but great reviews from our members and guests! One member mentioned how Scott captured the vibes of multiple generations, ethnicities and races reflecting the club's diversity with his impeccable choice of musical selections from the 70's. Look no further, Hot Mix Entertainment is the absolute best. I know I wanted a DJ for my wedding that would keep the guests dancing and Scott delivered. What can I say about Scott except that he totally crushed it at our wedding and kept the dancefloor packed all night long? We had a destination Austin wedding and no DJ was good enough for our tastes except Silz so we dragged him all the way down to Texas - a choice we could not be happier with. The music was amazing, he did an insane job with the uplighting - when the lights were lowered, the place looked incredible! - and his photobooth was a highlight to us and our guests. I'm usually not the type of person to write a review but I had to make sure I did it this time. I have been to many house parties/picnics but my experience on July 19th was simply amazing. Scott Smokin' Silz put together an all star DJ ensemble. Hanging in the lounge with him and his wife was so nice. They are the most down to earth people that I have met in the industry. I am looking forward to your next event to enjoy some great music outstanding ambiance and plenty of dancing!

When I first contacted HOT MIX, I was on their website and pulled up the Chat Live feature which I really liked. Scott answered right away and told me he'd call tomorrow.
He did call and we talked about everything which was great and he gave me some instructions which I followed.
Scott instructed to fill out a few documents on his website and then fill out the free give away for free lighting and other features and he will send me an email with pricing, details, guest access to his library and then he will follow up with us.
Scott never followed up again and after waiting a few weeks
