So it started out great me and my wife attending regularly and out therapist would seem stand off ish when I spoke come to find out on the last session she split me and my wife up. Tells me she’s terrible at communicating and tells her I’m a narcissist. Which if I am so be it that’s why I’m seeking help, and I’m no therapist but seems off to me she would tell the one she labeled a “poor communicator” that the other was a narcissist instead of just..telling me herself . How did she think that would get communicated to me? My guess would be poorly but again hey what do I know? If I

My initial counselor Misty was very nice and did provide some helpful tactics. Unfortunately she left the practice and I wasn’t notified until I called to schedule an appointment which did upset me. I was put with someone new, a very young girl who offered absolutely nothing. No strategies, exercises, ways to reframe situations, nothing. I even asked for things I could read or watch to help me through and she said she’d have to think about it. I said you have no suggestions at all? Not like journaling or anything? And she said yes, journaling, that’s a good idea. (!) Also when I told her

Went here for counseling and the therapist forgot my husbands name and this was the 3rd week we spent with her. She was very harsh at times which is fine but sometimes it seemed argumentative, judgemental, and unprofessional. Also, I don’t believe she took any notes as she did not remember some very important facts about our lives after spending a few weeks with us. I’m not saying she has to remember every detail but it was like we were just meeting for the first time every single session. She would keep revisiting the same topics over and over and over even though the problems were already

My therapist was very how to say by the books. Simply saying "i need more" "you need to talk". I did not feel safe to talk. I did not like her vibe and immediately felt judged. I didnt want to share because i felt she was abrasive and at times even seemed annoyed. With me swearing i even saw an eye roll/sigh. She seemed annoyed by me and didnt nicely encourage me to open up. If you are sensitive or need a more understanding therapist thats isn't so clinical or by the books i do not recommend marie. If tough love so to say and being harsh is your thing and than kudoa to you. Unless they work with

Now that I've successfully built my own hierarchy of needs and have the ability to build them again should I fail in a future endeavor, a review of my time spent with Heather @ Preferred Care is necessary.
Unfortunately I was incredibly suicidal for the past few years, mostly because I only saw problems in other people, not the problems in myself. Kinda ironic, I know.
However when I started with Heather, she was unfortunately very triggered by my suicidality due to a close friend of hers committing suicide. I wasn't able to talk about my biggest issue because of a problem of hers. In that sense

I spent a few years in counseling with Joe. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. I see there are several 1 star reviews and I am sure they have valid complaints, but I don’t believe that’s a good representation of this institution. I know there are many people they have helped. Often times people only point out the bad you do while the good goes unnoticed. I have highly recommended this place to my family and friends. You always have to be careful about who you trust. But I believe this is good place to look for help.

I never write reviews, whether "positive" or "negative". However, I made an exception for this fine establishment. Due to the personal nature of my experience, I won't share the gory details, except I can say for absolute certainty that you will be mistreated if you unfortunately choose this facility for your mental health needs. Don't send yourself or your loved ones here under any circumstance. An absolute nightmare. Mean spirited and abusive counselors. All other reviews here are "one star". Only five star review is most likely from the owner's cousin, friend, etc....
