Services
Larry graduated from Rio Americano High School in 1972. Earning a football scholarship he went to Oregon State University from 1972-75. From college Larry went into the transportation industry where his work ethic and sense of drive helped him work his way up the corporate ladder. He started as a Loader in 1976 and retired as Director of Operations of the western region for FedEx Corporation in 2005.
Our location on Athens Avenue in Redding, CA has a long history of fitness! This location has been a gym for as long as anyone can remember. From 1990-2008 Total Fitness occupied this building, and before that it was Gold's Gym.
When this announcement came, a member of 3+ years, Larry Fuqua and a couple of his workout buddies were upset at the news and disappointed at the thought of not being able to come to their favorite gym and be surrounded by its history and long-time membership base!Everyone here was like family and they couldn't stand the thought of that let down.

This 9-week Fitness Challenge will be structured around weightlifting, full body movements, combined with high intensity cardio, kickboxing and more. You will be instructed on different lifts, movements and self defense maneuvers so they can be properly executed. Weights, Kettle bells, sand bags, machines, ropes and body weight may be incorporated in classes.
This specialty class is centered around high intensity functional training. The movements used are not complex and weight is used in every class. The sessions are programmed to increase primarily aerobic and muscular endurance while building strength. Exercises include box jumps, rope lean-backs, plank hops, Olympic-style lifts, and rowing, just to name a few.
