We Care Manatee connects low-income, uninsured adult residents of Manatee County, FL with free, quality medical care and resources. By providing a private sector solution to serving and treating the uninsured, We Care Manatee reduces the red tape, improves communication, and ensures that both the physician and the patient receive the support they need to complete a plan of care.
When your doctor needs help managing your care, he or she can request a consultation with one of our volunteer specialists. If accepted, you will see that specialist in their office. Recommendations from the specialist and notes regarding any treatment provided will be sent to your doctor so that they can manage your ongoing care.

Services
We Care Manatee connects uninsured, low-income Manatee County residents to the medical care they need. Our services are available to uninsured Manatee County residents between the ages of 18 and 64, with income below 200% of the federal poverty level. We Care Manatee was founded by the Manatee County Medical Society in 1999 to address the increasing need of uninsured residents to receive care and treatment from medical specialists.
At We Care Manatee, we believe all Manatee County residents should have access to necessary medical care and we are committed to helping those who have no insurance and can't afford to pay for the care they need. Becoming a client starts with a referral from your physician or clinic where you get your medical care.
If you are looking for a way to serve this community, the We Care Manatee program is precisely tailored to fit your needs. You simply set the parameters of your participation, and we find patients you can help based on the guidelines you provide. The process is easy. We Care Manatee will provide you with a one-page application form that allows you to become an individual provider and/or include your practice in the Sovereign Immunity protection.
