Services
Since 2002, Genesis' behavioral health services has operated out of our medical clinic located in the Newtown community of Sarasota. The program is staffed by a psychiatrist, Licensed Mental Health Counselors, and a Certified Addictions Professional. Patients are seen after referral by any local agency or organization and are promptly scheduled for an assessment.
Youth mentoring program operating since 2004 during the summer for 20-hours per week for six weeks. Initial funding support for our youth activities was provided by Gulfcoast South Area Health Education Center and the Eluned & Edward Russell Charitable Foundation. The summer camp initially focused on health careers and later expanded to include other science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) careers.
Second to the pain one may feel getting dental work done, they fear the price tag that comes along with it. We know how important dental health is in our patients' lives and how poor dental health is linked to other ailments and poor outcomes such as absenteeism in schools and jobs, heart health, and diabetes.
