Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.

Big Thank you and thumbs up to Nelms Memorial Funeral Home Staff for the wonderful job you all did in preparing our love one Mrs. Doris Rich for her homegoing service. We thank you for the kindness and compassion that was shown to The Rich and Horton Families in our time of bereavement. May God continue to bless each of you.

Very unprofessional! Messed up my grandmother's obituary after it had already been prewritten for them. Someone took it upon themselves to add words to it that weren't correct. They messed up her name implying that she was married and had the time for viewing the body wrong which caused people to call the family repeatedly to ask if the time had been changed. I feel like they did a rushed job and did not give my grandmother the respect that was due for the preparation of her family viewing her one last time.
