Services
When first established and incorporated in 1985, Professional Counseling Center operated out of a one-room office at 920 Huron Avenue in Port Huron. The Center quickly developed an excellent reputation in the community for providing caring and competent counseling services. This reputation is a result of the Center's belief and philosophy that people asking for help should not be kept waiting, an immediate response is needed.
In our comfortable offices, clients receive support and guidance from our highly trained and experienced staff of psychologists, social workers, counselors, and psychiatrists. Clients in certain specialized programs receive our professional services in the comfort of their own homes. All staff members are committed to providing the optimum level of care in an environment which is warm and professional.

Edit: There are good people here, but it takes a lot to hit one. The previous counselor documented nothing, not his alleged work, nothing. I hope Keith is happy when my parents are killed because he was utterly inept and busy condoning the abuse by the 12 year old on his grandparents, who can't take care of themselves.

I was refused services after my husband dropped me off and I had to wait for him to come back. You could run people's insurance ahead of time instead of making them waste a trip and over a 10 dollar copay which is being waived by my insurance at this time. The receptionist was rude and refused to phone my insurance provider inquiry line to verify ..just turned me away..i called my insurance back and they assured me it should have been waived. My husband wants reimbursement for wasted gas and time from you...this isn't over...

I attempted to call at aprox. 5:30-6:00pm so well before close, and was greeted with an automated message that both was difficult to hear and did not provide any option or direction to set up an appointment.
After googling the website I was able to locate the extension they use for intake. Why this was not put into their automated message is beyond me and frankly is a major turn off and comes off as unprofessional and unorganized.
But it doesn't end there! Upon putting in the extension I was

When I first started going her it was nice ... until I got a bill.. even though I payed up front they made me pay it again. Not happy with the customer service when I was trying to find out why I had a bill of $115 the lady on the phone was not so nice and yelling at me she did not even explain why I had the bill she said she would call me back and never bid ..i had to call back 6 time in the last 3 months to find out what happened. will never go here again

I was seeing Kelly Pavel as a counselor for about two months and she violated doctor patient confidentiality when asked for a report on my progress by the Ennis Center for Children. She was only allowed to state whether I was attending and if I was doing well, instead, she gave them specific information that we spoke about and told them that I wouldn't look her in the eye, to paint me as a dishonest person. I have proof that she violated my privacy in writing in a court report.

EXTREMELY unprofessional. One councilor asked me why I don’t just “deck” my 13 year old autistic sister. And another councilor LIED about me refusing to sign medical documents and banned me from seeing the psychiatrist over this lie. I would NEVER refer someone to go here. They will do nothing but lie and avoid you!

They are extremely rude. They do not listen to your childs problems at hand, instead they judge you as a parent saying there is something going on in my household for my child to be doing the things he's doing. They will CALL CPS ON YOU for seeking help for your child. They have ruined my life and my kids lives.
Never let your child see the therapist alone either ! Trust me in this !
THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU THEY WILL DESTROY YOUR LIFE
I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE GOING HERE.
If you know you child needs help THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO GO.
