LaLa's Cuts

I bought a haircut At LaLa's from an auction and she gave me a terrific haircut! I've gotten non-stop compliments since she cut it. Lauren is really fun to talk to and I love her salon...a beautiful space in Queen Anne.
I took my 11y/o daughter in a few days later and I will quote: "Mom, she is the only person who has ever cut my hair exactly the way I want it. And she's really nice."
So, we will be back for sure.

Lauren went out of her way to make sure I found the place and was comfortable when I arrived (there was a can of La Croix waiting for me at my chair!). I had a tricky request: to fill in roots...with highlights...without breaking the bank or having me there for hours. She came up with a creative solution and did a really great job matching the color (even though it was done somewhere else) and blending the highlights. I also enjoyed her company, her adorable shop, and I would trust her to do my hair again. Highly recommend!

She has the experience and knows exactly what she is doing so I always feel confident and at ease. She also stays up to date with industry standards and techniques. If I could give this 0 stars I would. I went through Lala's cuts for my wedding and was extremely disappointed. For starters, I was charged $150 for my "consultation" which did not even include any styling- I ended up asking for a refund on this. My hair on my wedding day looked nothing like what I asked for and then on top of that I was charged way over what we had previously discussed. I hired Shane Martos, a makeup artist who is a friend of Lauren's, do to my bridesmaids' makeup. Although he did a fine job, it was not the look I asked for. He also way over charged based

I've never had my hair colored before and wanted to try something new. From the second I walked into the door Lauren made me feel extremely comfortable like I was catching up with an old friend. I showed her a couple of ideas I had in mind and my hair turned out way better than I could've imagined! I've found my new hairstylist!

Lauren is a highly skilled hairstylist. My hair is difficult to cut but she always gives me a great haircut. I trust her skills, consistent results and fashion sense completely. She's great with my men's cut, but her women's cut, color and highlight are top notch without a doubt She's the best, I'm convinced!! I've experienced it all when it comes to getting your hairs did in Seattle. High end, low end, boutique, corporations, training salons - you name it. Lala's was exactly what I needed at this point in my life. Her studio is open, natural, elevated, clean and aesthetically pleasing. I made an appointment online (super easy) and showed her a few pictures of what I wanted. She is skilled at her trade, walks you through the process, and is efficient with your time. I have been going to Lauren for many years and only have had great experiences. I have curly ethnic hair, very long and very thick. Lauren is fantastic with Brazilian Blowouts and highlighting. It's taken me years to trust a stylist with unique hair. She helps me look great in curls, waves and perfectly straight looks. As an extra bonus Lauren is a compassionate advocate and founder of a non profit for domestic violence survivors and is very well respected in the Seattle community for her work. Model human being.

I haven't been satisfied my hair for a long time. After seeing Lauren I can finally say... I am happy with the outcome! She took the time to listen to my ideas and gave me some suggestions for cuts that would work for me and my lifestyle and the current condition of my hair. Lauren is my favorite hairstylist in town, hands down. She's taken my grown-out balyage blonde to a rich, natural-looking light brown in the winter and, recently, to the perfect shade of bright blonde for the spring/summer. Absolutely the best hairstylist in Seattle in my opinion. Professional yet comfy and relaxed feel inside her salon; suited with magazines, a complimentary water/tea, etc. She's so personable.
I'm a natural born towehead and now that I'm in my twenties she helps me keep that up in those miserable blonde months between October/November and February/March.

Lauren is not only amazing at hair and all that it entails but she is a wonderful person so worth having conversation with while you're waiting for a dye or a blow out or whatever. I wouldn't be lying if I use hair as an excuse to spend time with this beauty queen.

She also founded one of Seattle's best runway shows Runway to Freedom to benefit survivors of domestic violence so supporting her supports her efforts with this dream.

Lauren is an artist with naturally awesome style in hair, make up and wardrobe. I have a lot of heavy, flat, one dimensional hair that I was waiting to have cut by a stylist that would give it that extra sass, body and shape. Lauren totally delivered. I get compliments on my hair frequently and tell everyone I know to visit her if they are looking for a a stylist that listens, knows hair and is on of the top trends! Her salon is also welcoming & relaxing and I love the area of town it is in!

Wanted to give Lauren a great review and am glad to see she has lots of others as she deserves it! She really takes her time with your hair and concerns and makes it right. Too many stylists just want to style you and move on but Lauren listens to your questions and helps you look your best. She is also just such a lovely person, so kind and easygoing. I came in to see Lauren after getting a less than satisfactory haircut elsewhere. After listening carefully and sympathetically to my 'tale of woe' and hearing what it was I really wanted, she described her plan of action and executed it perfectly. She took what initially can only be described as 'middle-aged bob' and gave me the more edgy look I was hoping for. She also took the time to show me how to style it myself going forward.
