Massage is defined by Mirriam Webster as: : manipulation of tissues (as by rubbing, kneading, or tapping) with the hand or an instrument for therapeutic purposes. In the West, basic training for massage therapists is in Swedish massage, which combines a variety of techniques such as effleurage (gliding strokes), petrissage (kneading), friction, and tapotement (light percussion).
A typical massage therapy session is between 40 and 90 minutes (15 to 20 minutes for chair massage). Your massage will begin with a brief consultation and review of symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle. During your first exam, your massage therapist will spend time getting to know you and your health concerns.

I highly recommend scheduling an appointment with Kasey. She treated my tight muscles by using a combination of deep tissue techniques and hot stones to release the knots. I was able to book an appointment for the first time via MassageBook.com and pay beforehand. This service is super easy to use and convenient.

I felt at ease and relaxed even before the massage began by the beautiful waiting lounge at Zen Soma Massage and especially when I entered Kasey’s massage room. She addressed my areas of concern, and intuitively found problem areas I didn’t even know I had. Her technique of deep tissue/gentle touch, along with with cupping left me in happy dazed state.

Patti Moss is the best massage therapist by whom I have ever been treated (and I've had tons of them over decades!) She uses a pressure point technique that really gets to the source of the pain. Plus, she and the facility have a fun, relaxed vibe, while still being super professional and clean. I highly recommend Patti Moss for massage therapy.

I have chronic pain issues and I almost could not believe how much she was able to help. A massage with her is beyond bliss and surpasses any words of praise that I can think of. THANK YOU Patti. You are a healer extraordinaire! No matter what type of massage you are looking for this is the therapist who is able to feel exactly what you need. Patti is an excellent massage therapist. I came in with several problem areas in my back and shoulders. Both deep tissue and cupping have been extremely helpful for me. I've returned several times and plan to continue. She is friendly, professional, and flexible with scheduling!

Words cannot describe how fantastic my experience has been at Soma Massage in Murray hill The atmosphere is relaxing, yet spiritually energizing and the therapists are some of the best in Jacksonville.Patti the owner specializes in yoga, Thai massage, and nutritional support. She also has an additional yoga studio and other therapist to help you with your overall wellness. I have been going to her now for about a year. Doctors have offered little help with pain management and she has done what they could not. I've received hundreds of massages and varied techniques but I can honestly say that I
