Have questions about pre-planning your final wishes? We can help you understand the process in a way that is easy to understand and with no commitments. We are a long-established funeral home in the community (1875) and our mission is to provide information and support when needed. Again, there is no obligation or fees for our pre-planning information.

The only expenses that will be needed is when you want to establish a pre-paid service of your choice with us. Our office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. seven days a week and by phone 24/7. We are here to help. The people we meet and the relationships we form throughout our lives are an important part of who we are.
Services
Renner-Wikoff Chapel, proudly serving our community since 1875, is dedicated to be a comfort and resource to those in need. We treat everyone fairly and honestly and provide one-on-one assistance when needed. There is never any obligation for those seeking our advice or guidance. Our staff is knowledgeable and up to date in this profession to provide the best care and services that are available.
Renner-Wikoff Chapel is one of the oldest funeral homes in the Champaign-Urbana area and is also believed to be the first funeral home in Central Illinois to be run exclusively as a funeral business. Funeral homes generally were operated in conjunction with livery stable, furniture stores or other related businesses.
Survivors include a daughter: Dyhnay Crank of Urbana; her grandsons: Damien (Sarah) Walters and Richard (Brandy) O'Hearn; and her seven great grandchildren. She grew up and attended public schools in Shelbyville before attending the University of Illinois. Although she received a degree in French she began her work life as a carpenter for Denny Hutton of Hutton Homes Construction, Champaign where we first met.
The following is a list of choices which represent the cost of our services. They may or may not include the casket or container required for visitation or viewing, burial, entombment or cremation.

This package includes basic services of the funeral director and staff; embalming; other preparation of the body; dressing; casketing; cosmetology; donor or autopsy repair; washing and disinfecting unembalmed remains; visitation, viewing (reception) (at the Funeral Home or another location); funeral ceremony (at the Funeral Home or another location); casket coach; lead car; and transfer of remains to the funeral home.
The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the goods and services you selected.

We needed a funeral home because of a sudden and unexpected death and cold-called Renner-Wikoff Chapel. They took care of everything. We worked with Steve directly. He was sympathetic, professional, and listened to exactly what we wanted: a simple cremation and no service. There was absolutely no pressure to buy anything that we did not want. They have their own crematory so everything is done on-site. The whole process was simple and straightforward. Hopefully this helps, should you find yourself in the unfortunate position of unexpectedly needing a funeral home.

A really gratifying experience - so glad that we came here!
We worked with Shelly & Jason for pre-planning - they spent time with us, were professional, personable, & compassionate, and brainstormed with us to figure out whst made sense for our family & even sort out our financial options
When Dad then passed away sooner that we anticipated, they were just amazing during a really difficult time of year (between Christmas & New Year's) in pulling together the logistics & even arranging for Knights of Columbus & Army honors - which were really meaningful - Dad would have loved it!
So glad that

Terrible! We just buried my mother and Renner-Wikoff wouldn't give me the time of day or allow any input from me since my brother was the executor of the estate and signed the contract to pay the bill (which comes out of the estate not his pocket). Even though (when I complained about how I was treated) the owner told me they listened to every family member not just the bill payer that was NOT the case. I was flat out told they didn't need to listen to me because I had not signed the contract - not once was I asked for input into the service or arrangements. I had no role as the daughter and it
