Uno Dos Tres Academy follows a Developmentally Appropriate Philosophy, that is, the program is guided by the needs of the children that it serves. Children are taught in a manner that matches the way they develop and learn. Children are challenged just beyond the level of their present ability and are given opportunities to practice newly acquired skills.

Along with opportunities to learn through play and social interaction, children are provided with the skills that will allow them to excel in the Spanish language later in life. Following are the five guidelines for Developmentally Appropriate Practice that Uno Dos Tres Academy follows. Create a caring community of learners.
Services
Children entering the Elefantitos classroom start at 6 months. Our infant classroom is where we care for our precious babies. In the Elefantitos classroom we foster an environment of comfort and security. Our goal is to support the whole child and work with their individual needs. To provide the ultimate comfort and care little ones are regularly fed and changed throughout the day.
A bilingual education gives children a leg up in linguistic, cognitive, and social intelligence. This knowledge can encourage your child to appreciate different cultures and to be a natural communicator; and it is a practical tool that they will value for the rest of their lives. Personally, having a bilingual education at a young age has given me numerous advantages.
Children entering the Koalas classroom are 12 months old before their 1st day of school. Our Koalas Classroom is where our precious babies become young toddlers. We understand that our young Koalas are full of energy and curiosity. One year olds are developing self-confidence, while their motor skills improve.
My belief is that children who can communicate well with people from other cultures are the ones who encounter greater advantages in life. Students in a bilingual environment, similar to UDT have shown to perform better on projects that require problem solving, decision making and multi-tasking. So, I invite you to come visit us, and experience first hand the benefits of a bilingual education.
Uno Dos Tres Academy uses a thematic approach to design the curriculum. We adjust themes, classroom materials and make necessary classroom arrangement monthly to enhance student's interests. Classroom schedules include self-directed play, child-centered activities, and teacher-lead activities. We focus largely on auditory and vocabulary skills in all our classrooms.

My daughter has been at UDT for the last year and a half. She has had the same teacher, no turn over and loves everyday of school.

Our 18 month old son has been attending this location full-time since we moved several months ago and I can't say enough positive things about our experience here! His teachers, Andrea and Guisela, are incredibly caring, creative and knowledgeable. Their classroom has such a fun feel to it and it's evident how much everyone enjoys their time there. I've also been impressed by the proactive communication of the Director as well as the Owner when it comes to weather closures, COVID policy and sharing monthly newsletters. We are not native Spanish speakers but have enjoyed learning the monthly vocabulary

This is a fantastic daycare/school for your children to develop. Karla, the owner, and Mariana, the manager, are impeccably professional and caring with a good understanding of parents’ typical concerns. I have been very impressed with the seamless communication we’ve had with everybody there. They pick up the phone and answer emails. This doesn’t happen at all daycares.
They are organized and caring! Lucia and Gali are in charge of our son’s infant classroom and they do an amazing job. They are also so laid back and flexible with us. I always feel very informed each day that I pick up

Our son has attended both the St Johns and Sellwood locations, and we’ve been incredibly pleased with both. He loves his teachers, and so do we!

We love this school. Our kids have been going here for over 2 years (since 4 and 2.5). The teachers truly love what they do and the owners are amazing. Any time I had a concern or suggestion for improvement, they listened with intent and were open minded. I hear the boys speaking and singing in Spanish quite often so I know they are learning the language. I would highly recommend this school to anyone considering no only bi-lingual preschool, but a safe, affordable, and caring environment for their children.

I can't believe I'm the first to write a review for Uno Dos Tres! Our family is so happy at this school. My children are 2 and 4, and they are really happy here. I have only good things to say. We love their teachers (Vanessa, Kelly and Larissa), the school is so organized, communication with parents is fantastic, and the overall environment is clean, friendly and warm. I can tell the teachers really enjoy being with the kids.
The kids are busy and occupied during the day, doing activities, play, circle time, etc. Each month has a theme (farm, dinosaurs/paleontology, space, etc) so activities
