The WOHC Behavioral Health department provides evidence-based care and treatment to our community members. Pharmacy is the art, practice, or profession of preparing, preserving, compounding, and dispensing medical drugs. The West Oakland Health Council operates state of the art pharmacies at the following two sites:. We provide family dental care for patients of all ages. Your oral health is important to your overall health and well-being. Come in to our brand new Oral Health Department, nicknamed the Dental Spa, for compassionate and quality dental care. Poor oral health may cause complications in controlling your diabetes, put you at risk for heart disease, or even play a role in the extremely low birthweight of babies.
West Oakland Health offers medical services that focus on women's health, including family planning, healthy pregnancy, annual wellness examinations, and staying healthy after giving birth. Breast and cervical cancer screenings are also available. Women's health services are provided by West Oakland Health's experienced gynecologists, nurse practitioners, and nurse midwives.
WIC is a Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children. WIC serves pregnant women, women who have recently been pregnant, infants, and children up to their 5th birthday. Moms, dads, grandparents, foster parents, other caregivers, and guardians may apply for the children they are raising.
