Growing up in a small Texas town gave me lots of time to DREAM and PLAY. I was always inventive, resourceful and creative. I earned a BFA in Theatre from Baylor University and loved Texas but wanted to explore and keep moving. Over the past 15+ years I have worked behind the scenes in Marketing, Real Estate, Catering, Fundraising & Event Planning as the right hand to CEOs and Managing Directors.
Planning your own wedding becomes a second job for most couples. It's always on your mind, there are constantly things to do and the clock is always ticking. There just aren't enough hours in the day. There are books and blogs about how to pull it all together but the truth is that many people end up winging it.
Planning a formal rehearsal can be a bit like wrangling cats. It's an exciting time, don't get me wrong. But you've most likely got everyone from college roommates, friends from another state or country and family you haven't seen in years all in the same room for the first time. You're expected to meet and greet everyone, say some hellos and thank yous and rehearse a processional and ceremony all in under an hour.
I had the unique opportunity to be featured on Chicago's own WCIU's morning talk show, 'You & Me This Morning' in a segment called, "I Love My Job!" We hired Courtney as our day-of wedding coordinator for our wedding this past Saturday, and she definitely delivered to our expectations. One thing that I really appreciated about her was how responsive she was to communications. It angers me when I email or text someone that I'm doing business with and I don't hear from them for days on end. Courtney was very prompt with her responses, and that helped me to trust that she would also be responsive to my needs at the wedding.

Courtney was hands down the best decision I made in my wedding planning process. I hired Courtney to be my day of Coordinator and she was so much more than that. My husband and I had our main wedding event in Panama (where I am from) and a second reception in Chicago (where he is from and where we live). I am the Mother of the Bride and hired Courtney as our Day Of Coordinator. I am so glad I did because she took charge, gave us helpful suggestions, made sure the reception venue was set up properly and overall was a huge help in making the day run smoothly so I did not have to work or worry. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding that Courtney was hired as the day of wedding coordinator. I attended the pre-wedding walkthrough with the bride and Courtney, during the walkthrough Courtney was very attentive and had great suggestions and advice.
I have been in many weddings and often have been tasked with running last minute errands or scrambling on the day of for forgotten items. Hiring Courtney as our Day of Coordinator was one of the first (and most important!) things we did when we started wedding planning. Any sane bride will answer no. For those of you who are considering that scenario...it's a no...the answer is NO! You need Courtney! Relying on family or bridesmaids will not work. Courtney was a great asset for our wedding! In an effort to stay frugal, we rented a venue that was very much DIY and included no wait staff. We needed as much help as we could get. Courtney was fantastic, she helped us every step of the way and was always available for my sometimes panicky questions. There were so many little things I would have forgotten or never thought of had she not reminded me. Hiring Courtney to be our day of coordinator was the best money we spent! After endless painstaking planning, I wanted to be sure that my vision went off without a hitch. I now know what advice I will give to brides-to-be: GET A DAY-OF COORDINATOR. If you're anything like me, then the details are many, and the instinct to manage them all yourself will be overwhelming. Let it go, and hand over the details to Courtney Bollettino. Courtney was our Day Of Coordinator and was amazing! She was very understanding about our limited budget for a Day-Of person and we didn't really need her for most of the services that a Day Of Coordinator provides and she worked with us on pricing.
I cannot recommend Courtney enough, she is gracious and understanding and our wedding timing and whatnot would have probably been a complete disaster without her.
