Chronic periodontitis can lead to the loss of tissue and bone that support the teeth and it may become more severe over time. If it does, your teeth will feel loose and start moving around in your mouth. It usually gets worse slowly, but there can be periods of rapid progression. Aggressive periodontitis is a highly destructive form of periodontal disease that occurs in patients who are otherwise healthy.
Composite fillings are tooth-colored to blend in with the remaining natural part of the tooth. The term composite refers to the actual filling material, which is a mixture of glass or quartz filler in a resin medium. Composite fillings provide good durability and resistance to fracture in small-to-mid size restorations that need to withstand moderate chewing pressure.
Your dentist, Dr. Thenus, will prepare the tooth surface so the bonding material will adhere. Once it has been applied, it will then be shaped so it has a natural appearance. Then the material is allowed to harden, usually with the help of a light. Finally, the composite is polished and buffed so that the surface is smooth.

These guys are amazing. Everyone here from the hygienist to the receptionist were so nice. The Dentist was so attentive and listened to all my concerns. The hygienist gave me a very thorough cleaning and had many recommendations to help make my good routine perfect. Highly recommended.🌸 to the one star review nobody will work on you without xrays. 🤷🏻‍♀️ They are liable for what they can’t see and without xrays they can’t safely start any treatment.

My husband and I have been going here since 2003. They are absolutely wonderful, thorough, and caring. They have treated my husband, who is disabled, and in a wheelchair -- with the utmost respect. They work on him while in his wheelchair, and couldn't be more compassionate. I am the County's biggest coward when it comes to dentistry, and they are fantastic. They make you feel like family. Cannot say enough good about them!!

By being honest and upfront about finances, she was able to offer alternatives for treatment that made it possible to maintain a healthy smile. The same thing with the hygienists. When they are really good doing the hard work of cleaning my teeth I tell them and it goes a long way in talking about what may bother you.

My 1st time there and I set up an appointment specifically for a routine cleaning. The receptionist was very nice. The hygienist took me to the room and explained the order things would be done. I asked if I HAD to get xrays done, that's when the hygienist gave me attitude asking "SOOOOOO where are they?", when I told her I had them recently done. Ok, fine, I'll get xrays. Then she proceeds to tell me I may not get cleaning done today which was my whole point of visit. If I was told that up front when I made appointment it wouldn't have been a big deal. So between that and the attitude given over
