Our dojang is centrally located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina near the intersection of Hwy 501 and Forestbrook Road. Taekwondo is a Korean martial art (some call it karate) and is the national sport of South Korea. Thus, taekwondo may be loosely translated as "the way of the foot and fist" or "the way of kicking and punching."
We strive for many things at the U.S. Taekwondo Center. Some include: self-control, discipline, integrity, courtesy, weight control, increased flexibility, and respect for yourself and for others. Our youth are a big concern of ours, and through bi-weekly report cards, we stay on top of the behavior of our youth.

Services
The philosophy of Taekwondo is very special, but what makes it so special? If we learn philosophy from books, we tend to forget it as soon as we leave them, because it is not related to our actual lives. But since Taekwondo is connected with our lives like every movement of ours is, we can never forget its philosophy.
Q: Do you know why you take a test? A: We test to further our knowledge of Taekwondo through test preparation and experience, to gain confidence by performing under pressure and increase my knowledge, Sir. Q: When do we bow? A: We bow to the flags when entering the dojang, when leaving the dojang, when class starts, and when class ends.

As the parent of a student, I give this school my highest recommendation. We chose Master Lee's school for our daughter since his program is the only Kukkiwon and World Taekwondo certified school in the Myrtle Beach area (governing body of Olympic competitions). After seeing the legitimacy, skill, and character of Master Lee during my daughters training, it motivated me to start classes too--after a long read from martial arts. It has been great to see my daughter gain self-confidence, get physical activity away from electronics, learn martial arts, and generally have "her thing"

Having fun while strengthening both mind & body, and learning from authentic martial arts master.
I like that there are separate classes for youth and adults and that the school is certified/approved by the international organization that governs Olympic Taekwondo--Kukkiwon. So I know our family is getting great instruction and our ranks will be independently registered and earned for life. The other families are great to train with--youth and adults alike. It is a blast!

I'm a guy who has struggled with social anxiety my whole life until I said to myself that is it I had enough!
I am proud to belong to this Dojang. I am more confident, outgoing. I am just amazed of the progress I made. I get a excellent workout each class! Master Lee is a great person and teaches self defense very well!

Have had a great experience Master Lee is great at what he does and both my children have learned so much from him. Definitely not only a sport but life skills discipline, respect, teamwork and self confidence. Mrs. Lee is so sweet and caring and an amazing instructor. We love being part of the Myrtle Beach US Tae Kwon Do Family. They really care about their students success!

My son and I have been at the US Tae Kwon Do center for several years. Master Lee is very experienced in his craft and always has new and interesting ways to teach techniques. They have a variety of instructors and Master Lee always has an eye on what is going. Starting Tae Kwon Do at the US Tae Kwon Do center was a great decision.

The US TKD center has played a big role in my children's lives and mine. I highly recommend it to all. It builds confidence, discipline, respect and ultimately leadership training.
