Lynn has worked with clients from a wide range of ethnic groups and socioeconomic means. During her first year following completion of her graduate degree she worked in a residential treatment program that worked with young male offenders, some of whom were developmentally disabled. For three years she worked for Hennepin County Social Services in the areas of children's mental health and with parents who had developmental delays.
Life coaching for people 18 years old and over, and she specializes in assisting people going through a life transition, assisting people in figuring out what they "want to be when they grow up, " assisting people in moving their relationships forward, and parent coaching. Advocacy with the schools (elementary, middle, high school and transition programs) related to special education needs of children, adolescents and young adults.
Lynn has been honored to work with children, adolescents, couples, adults and families in psychotherapy. She has worked with clients of all ethnic backgrounds and of all socioeconomic means. Positive Discipline trainings have been provided to parents, teachers, administrators, child care staff and foster parents.
Lynn's office is located in Maple Grove, Minnesota. She provides psychotherapy services in her office and in some cases, in the home of the client. Professional life coaching can be provided either in Lynn 's office or by telephone. Many clients find the telephone option to be convenient in that it saves travel time and gas.
Lynn is a skilled clinician who has worked with clients facing a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, stress management, conflict resolution, parenting, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, low self-esteem, oppositional defiant behaviors, communication and relationship issues, and she has worked with many adult children of alcoholics.
