Hinkle's Restaurant has been a staple in the Columbia community for decades. It is known as a local meeting place, especially at breakfast, where folks can catch up with friends and neighbors. The restaurant is now owned by John Sipe, Tom Davis, and Robin Ortman, who have more than 70 years combined management experience at Hinkle's Restaurant and the former pharmacy, as well as other operations.

Same classic food that Hinkle's had been serving for years, but the decor has been entirely updated with a classical, modern look. The ice cream shop is awesome!
Located next door to Hinkle's, Murphy's Mercantile & Co. was inspired by old-time general stores from the days of Hinkle's. Murphy's offers a variety of gifts, candy and other items that bring customers back in time. Murphy's Mercantile offers a great place to shop after you've finished your wonderful meal at Hinkle's.

No coffee no shrimp asked for cheddar cheese and get American ask for double and I see I'm charged for it but not double cheese lately staff don't care. No compassion. And feel like I'm wrong I even repeated the order to Jenna three different times. I'm just tired of it. I know today is New Year's Eve and it's 10:00 so it's pretty packed or busy for them but this is the third time I'm missing something in the last four orders it's just kind of heartbreaking but I still have to pay the full price I never get refund at my money that's where I'm confused I got a bag and wait for the next time you

What an amazing place!! My Mom who is the pickiest little old lady in the world loves this place! The whole family met here for lunch on Sunday and she was right it is truly wonderful! The staff was top notch, food delicious and you would expect to have a bill to match (on the upper end of the scale). But it was VERY reasonable. Can not say enough good things and we will be going back and often!

Eggs over medium were over cooked. Scrambled eggs were over cooked. Ham was burnt. And the bacon was burnt. The toast had so much butter it was soggy. This has to be the worst diner in Lancaster county. This is not the first time I've been here. The first time I figured maybe they were just having a rough day in the kitchen. Nope for food quality has actually gotten worse

Wonderful. Hadn't been here in years and man has it changed. Beautiful, clean great menu and fast service from ordering to getting it to our table. Hot food delicious coffee . It's just a very relaxed atmosphere. Also has a gift shop and ice cream shop as well. Decorated brilliantly for Christmas and has a selection of very nice gifts for stocking stuffers and candles. You can't miss coming to this place folks. Enjoy it and keep coming back. Columbia Pa. Love it!!!

I have visited Hinkle's before but never for breakfast.They do serve breakfast all day. Just look what I'd been missing ! Stuffed pumpkin pancakes fit for a king ! Too delicious to adequately describe but if they are a special when you go , do not miss them . Split with half my friend's veggie omelette , this was the perfect fall breakfast before a long walk on the Northwest River Trail. A large menu with something for everyone one , lots of nearby parking , good prices and a lovely gift shop. It's a nice place to visit. Highly recommend.

Wow, what a selection to pick from! We honestly had a very hard time choosing. And the food was incredible. Everything from fresh wraps, salads and sandwiches to steak dinners. The service was fast, friendly and attentive. The space is clean and well laid out to offer a variety of seating. Free off-street parking. We wanted to go back for dinner !!

My daughter had the kids grilled cheese. She said it was so good and I believe it because she ate all of her sandwich before touching her fries LOL. I had the pulled pork sandwich, which was also good. A nice simple lunch in a very quaint, well taken care of establishment. Prices were good and the little gift shop was a cute touch.

Delicious Pork, Sauerkraut, Mashed Potatoes. Very cheesy Mac and Cheese, really enjoyed the cucumber salad. My husband may not have been impressed with his Hinkle burger, but did say his fresh cut fries were done perfectly. Server was great and although it took a little while to get our food, I did not mind as I knew it was all home made. Made it worth waiting for and what is the rush! I go out to eat, relax and enjoy. They also have a great gift shop. Thank you. Last photos are Fried Eggplant, Tuna Noodle Casserole and Cheeseburger with Fries. All so good. As you can see, we eat there a lot. Great
