My husband and I today ordered to go food from Tre Pas Restuarant. It was very disappointing regarding the lack of communication. What they do not tell you is there is a 5% food tax and they include a gratuity in the bill. We gave a 10.00 tip because the server DID NOT TELL US the gratuity is already included so we tipped the server an additional 10.00. This is sure dishonesty!!! Beware if you order to go! We will NOT support this restaurant ever again. Too dishonest!!!!

I'm not HUGE on Italian food. I mean, carbs and cheese have their place, but I was in the mood so I looked up Italian. My husband and I decided to try out this 4 1/2 star place we found in Auburn on our spur of the moment date trip from the Bay Area. We don't know Auburn well, and haven't eaten here before.
Anyway, when we walked in, the place wasn't large, but it was packed. Beautifully decorated with a pleasing aesthetic. Everyone there looked happy, enjoying themselves, so different from where we hail in the Bay.

The only good thing about this restaurant was our server Leyla. I've given it four tries now and that is four times too many. The food was dreadful again. We made a reservation a week in advance for a special occasion dinner and was assured we would have a good table. We arrived five minutes before our reservation time on a Friday but even though the restaurant was mostly empty, we were seated right at the kitchen door at a TV tray sized table. We said there must be a mistake and our server asked the owner if we could have a better take. He didn't even pretend to care about showing

COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTED is an understatement!
Service was the worst we've EVER received anywhere.
WHY does the waitress walk in slow motion and WHY did she seem to be angry at us from the moment we sat down?
No "hello, welcome, how is your food, can I get you anything else". Not one "thank you" or "you're welcome", even though we we're polite and decided to give her the benefit of the doubt, thinking that she may have had a bad day.

Started with the beet salad and ordered Fruiti Di Mare pasta for my wife and lamb for myself. The salad was good. When our next orders came, I immediately noticed that they gave me a pork chop instead of the lamb. It so happened that the owner was there so I mentioned the mistake. The owner insisted that it was lamb; that there are two kinds of cut. Not really sure what he thought of us, but we know lamb from a pork chop. I always order lamb in other restaurants when it is on the menu. My wife can smell it a mile away as she does not like it. Anyway, did not want make a fuss as we were hungry.

This restaurant was underwhelming.
Firstly, all of the empty tables had reserve signs on them. At first we almost turned right around and left. But eventually a hostess approached us and removed a sign and let us sit down. I just want to say how bizarre this is. Felt like a ploy.
Secondly, while the menu was nice in that it was in mostly Italian, the food itself was not what I expected. It said many things were house made, but I think they could have done better with the house made bread and marinara sauce. Underseasoned. I also wish our waitress had introduced herself, I didn't know her name

Good food. Would recommend asking what they make in house. Huge difference in the different gnocchi meals we had.

Really had a great meal here and a very fun evening! Lala was our waitress and she was awesome- professional, knowledgeable, friendly and funny! We had the eggplant appetizer- wonderful, and the insalada Mista had the tenderest of greens! Hubby had the lasagna- LOVED that and I ordered the boar Ragu- really delicious! And the tastiest tiramisu I've ever had! All went extremely well with the wine Lala recommended and we polished the bottle off!

Every time we go through Auburn we stop at the trattoria and YOU should too!
Amaaaaazing food and wine at good prices and some friendly folks here too!
The eggplant starter is a gem, the boar pasta incredible.

Let's get it straight- good is really good but I'm kind of hard pressed for the prices for lunch. The menu is the same at all times and the serving size is the same. The fig with prosciutto and the smallest drops of sauce was $13 for four slices of cheese and meats with the smallest dehydrated figs known to man. The small glass of white wine $7. The ravioli with mushrooms was good with a lot of butter $14.50 (my guest had the red sauce- same price) we asked for bread and had water as our primary drinks. Good food but if you don't have a reservation don't try. Have tried to get in early multiple times and 3/4 of the restaurant has reserved tables that are empty and get turned away. Never going back after the last try

Even though we arrived around 5:00 PM,we had no reservations so had to sit at bar which is way too high for the bar stools. To be fair, our waitress did offer to relocate us, but we already began eating so decided to stay. With that said, the creamy polenta w/ 🍄 sauce was perfect and the thin crust charred edge sausage pizza was delicious. Will try to make reservations next time!

This place is amazing, will definitely come back. Great atmosphere and our server was very knowledgeable regarding the menu and choices! The price is also very reasonable for what you get.

Really disappointing. We had a reservation for a table outside and when we arrived there were no outside tables available so they sat us inside.

Server was inattentive and the food was mediocre at best. Really wanted to love this place but it fell short in almost every aspect :(

I was recently here for a birthday celebration on a Saturday night, it was jam packed and it was very loud but that was expected. We waited a good 45 minutes for our food to arrive and when it finally did half of the party's food was cold. So disappointing. Our waitress was nice and she tried her best but this was a totally underwhelming experience, probably will never be back.

If you are in search of fantastic food in a casual yet elegant setting then don't overlook this place. Great for date night or an evening out with friends.

Very disappointing experience. We ordered dinner at 6:45 that included two gluten free pasta dishes. At 7:51 I finally asked to speak with the manager as our waitress had not been by to update us on our meal status. The unapologetic manager gave us education on the 20 minutes it takes to make gluten free pasta. This 20 minutes can, “put us behind 10 other orders” and therefore he justified waiting 1 hour and 6 minutes for dinner. After years loyal patronage, we will never go here again.

A very disappointing experience on all fronts. Started with the waitress given us a lecture/tirade on the evils of mask wearing, attack on American freedom, etc. We just looked at each other, stunned that we should have to listen to something like that.

After waiting for our meal for over an hour, we asked to speak to the manager, who basically told us it was our fault because of what we ordered. Not a single person saying I'm sorry, our kitchen is really backed up or any acknowledgment on their part.

We are vegan and asked about options, and our waitress made apparent that she doesn't understand the lifestyle or why someone would choose it. Shocked! Stopped by this week, there were only 2 tables with 3 customer, when I asked about an order to go the waitress told me we don't do that any more it is to hectic. We still have Covid & what restaurant doesn't have orders to go?? I have always had a good meal at Tre Pazzi, I have had an issue with the staff's attitude in the past. Seems they are going to lose a customer.

Got take out from Trez Pazzi and our dessert was covered in mold. There's no good explanation for receiving food with mold growing on it. I have concerns for our health eating here. Clearly their food is not made fresh and they have low health standards.

In addition they completely mishandled the situation. Their solution - a free replacement.

Enjoyable special evening out. Ordered lots of direct things and tried a little of each. My chicken parmigiana was good but a little dry. Father in law had the best, which was a tortellini with a white sauce. Sorry I don't remember all the names.

Loved their appetizer! Really authentic! The pizza was OK, I should’ve ordered a pasta. I’m not really into the crusts that kinda remind me of pita bread or a cracker. But that’s just my preference. Great service! Great view of downtown, especially in the evening. The pasts my husband ordered was really really good. One of their daily specials. We didn’t have dessert but heard their triple layer mousse is to die for so I must go back soon! A good mousse is hard to find.

AMAZING FOOD!!! It was like true homecooked italian food! Hard to find a place like this. The portions were perfect! The food was perfectly flavored and not too rich! The deserts were also delicious! They have a really cool take on tiramisu and it is really good! Also the atmosphere was really nice with wood floors and a brick wall and a very Italian vibe! Service was great and the location is in a really cute part of town! Highly recommend! Definitely one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to! Love it! Also the bread is served warm and it is SO good!
