Lesemann & Barks
We are a dedicated team of litigation attorneys based in Charleston, South Carolina. Lawyers are often referred to as both "attorneys and counselors" at law. We take this title seriously, and consider our role to go beyond simply handling your legal matter. Clients do not live in the uncertain world of litigation permanently.

They seek stability, resolution, and closure. And a favorable outcome. This is what we work to deliver. Ellis represents both plaintiffs and defendants from all walks of life and industries across a broad range of subject matters, working tirelessly to obtain his client's objectives.
Services
Although we regularly advise clients in a broad range of matters, our focus is litigation. We understand what can, and what cannot, be accomplished in a courtroom and counsel our clients accordingly. We have been to trial on numerous cases, both large and small. Any dispute important to our clients is important to us.
A graduate of Wando High School in Mount Pleasant, Ellis completed his undergraduate degree from the Honors College at the University of South Carolina, after studying for two years in the Honors Program at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He also completed a three-month Sprachenschule Program in Lichtenfels, Germany.

From our first conversation with Ellis we knew we were in good hands; his calm, intellectual but approachable demeanor put us instantly at ease. A stand up guy first and an pit-bull of a lawyer second he will make you feel confident and comfortable in any situation you are in. He is extremely insightful, intuitive and creative; able to adjust his communication and tactics to find the best solution for you. I equate most ordeals in life that require a lawyer to be negative but Ellis has a way of helping you through it not only professionally but personally as well. Look no further, this is YOUR

Ellis Lesemann and his associate Taylor Powell helped my family settle a complex insurance claim involving multiple defendants. This was not an easy task as other law firms we interviewed either failed to understand the issues or wanted unreasonable retainer agreements. Ellis and Taylor worked with us through the entire process and expertly negotiated a fair settlement before going to trial.
I would highly recommend talking to Lesemann & Associates first for any legal matter.

Being a first time home buyer can be super intimidating, especially when you are a young female trying to go through the process on your own. You depend greatly on help and advice from mortgage brokers, realtors, friends, etc. and hope and pray that you will deal with good honest people during the process. When I was buying my first home, unfortunately this was not the case. While I dealt with many wonderful dependable people who were helpful to me when I needed them, the seller and selling agent of the home that I was buying saw me as nothing more than an easy target, someone they could take advantage
