The New Age Salon story is one of graceful transformation and good old-fashioned elbow grease. Our journey has been shaped by our innovative stylist and diverse clientele, who together, have helped NAS grow from humble beginnings in a petite location on Hertel Avenue, to Buffalo's urban sanctuary for progressive and edgy hairstyling.
Root touch-up for those with previously colored hair. Price can vary depending on length of hair and how many color applications are needed (see 'additional colors'). For those with never-been-colored tresses and for those who need the entire length of their hair touched up. Color is applied to roots and ends, usually in a single application.
In order to CHANGE or CANCEL an appointment, we must be given 24 HOURS NOTICE. If 24 hours notice is not given, YOU WILL BE CHARGED 50% OF THE COST of the appointment. If you make an appointment, and you do not show up AND did not call to give notice, you will be held responsible for THE ENTIRE COST OF THE APPOINTMENT.
How unfair it is that only a small fraction of the population has been blessed with the thick, shiny, picture-perfect tresses you see in those commercials for a hair product line that shall (ahem) remain nameless. Ah, the joys of nature! But wait! At NAS, we offer transformative options for the short-haired and the fine-haired, and for all you style chameleons who want the look of long hair without the years-long commitment.
Amanda Robinson, Head Stylist and Owner of NAS, is a gifted hair artist and licensed master barber with 20 years of creative expertise. Her approach to hairstyling shows a strong regard for technique, but also a more tactile and intuitive treatment of hair - an experience of "cutting by feeling" rather than adhering to formulaic methodology.

I trusted the salon to dye my whole hair red, over my orange-red hair that hasn't been done for a year or two. I requested full color, told the stylist how I wanted my hair and she did not listen to me at all. I came home to everyone telling me it looked the same as before and that I wasted $150+. I honestly could've dyed it using beauty salon supplies. She tried to gaslight me into saying that I didn't want my roots done but that was the MAIN reason I went there... to get the red dye from roots to end. They even tried shutting me off but just telling me it looks good w a very aggressive

Hands down the best salon I have ever been too! Amanda was thorough, patient and absolutely wonderful. Not only does she do an incredible job with my hair but with my 4 yr olds "first haircut" my rambunctious toddler fell asleep in the chairsl mid haircut because of how relaxed and calming Amanda was. I will never go anywhere else!!

I’ve been going to Amanda since her first location on Hertel Ave and it was no surprise when she was able to grow into her new place. My hair has a weird texture and I love the way she manages to thin it out but keep volume. Always LOVE my color and am looking forward to my Fall hair appointment! She is great!

The best hair experience I have honestly ever had. My first time at New Age Salon getting hair extensions and Amanda did an absolutely phenomenal job. She is an expert at her craft and it shows. From the consultation, to putting them in and then explaining how to care for them and recommending products to use, Amanda knows her stuff and wants the best for her clients. An excellent salon, due to the creative and wonderful head stylist, Amanda. She is masterful at her craft, and consistently provides excellent service and wonderful results. She listens to her clients, and takes the time to ensure that their wants and expectations are considered, before she begins a cut or color job. There is not better salon in Buffalo to have your hair cut, colored and/or styled! I have been her client since 2000 and recently for 10 years I drove from Cleveland Ohio every 6 weeks because I could not find anyone as good as Amanda to color and coif my hair! I have never left New Age Salon without feeling uplifted from the services and professionalism that Amanda offers! Plus she has an awesome personality! If you want the best, make an appointment with Amanda!

When I moved to the Hertel area I decided I needed a salon closer to me and tried a few local places before ultimately finding New Age Salon. The owner, Amanda, is awesome and my hair always looks amazing after seeing her. Aside from being a great stylist, she's also super easy to talk to. The salon is smaller which I love because it's more of a personal setting. Always positive and chill vibes. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quality experience.

It was my first time getting my haircut from Amanda, the salon was very clean and nice, i pitched the owner some ideas has it been a while since getting my hair cut. She far exceeded my expectations. I was growing out my hair so it had been some time but she had a vision and i couldn't be happier, she has a customer for life !! I would recommend her to any family, friends and colleagues.

Finally call back she told me she's Books and she's not taking new clients yet and she's keeping 01 and I asked her are you gonna able to take me like a month she said she's not sure I said OK well I'll find somebody else thank you for calling me back I think that was not cool say I'm keeping my old clients I'm not taking new clients it doesn't make sense now I know why hairdressers don't make money these days because they don't wanna take the new clients a tip better than the old clients.

Erinn did it again! Got a "big" haircut, 4+ inches, and I'm loving the short hair (my first). Erinn has cut my hair twice now - the first hair cut was wonderful as well, she skillfully added layer to my long thick hair. This time we decided to get rid of the length - little makeover. Jordan is my all-time favorite stylist. My wife and I have been going to her for several years. The pictures of her beautiful work on Yelp speak for themselves, but she does a great job on oldsters like me too. Not only that, but we love the atmosphere: chill music that is conducive to conversation, and it's not unusual for everyone to join in, customers and stylists alike. And they're dog-friendly! What more could you ask?

Jordan is the best!!! If I still lived in Buffalo I would be a lifetime client. After a horrible experience with another salon on Hertel, I was so happy and relived to find a salon that listened to what I wanted and worked with me to achieve that look. Jordan really took the time to explain the steps it would take to achieve each look and was so friendly and personable. I absolutely love everyone who works at this salon. I've been having my hair cut by Jordan for a few years, and honestly, I can't imagine going anywhere else. Not only does she have great ideas and suggestions, she listens. You might not think of that when looking for a new hairdresser, but trust me, I've had ones that don't and there's nothing more miserable than ending up with hair you hate, even if it does grow back. This isn't the case here. I've loved my cut/style every time I've left

If this were the Old Age Salon, it would be full of Floridians getting their hair did. And if it were the Middle Age Salon, well, it would be full of balding crisis men pulling up in their sports cars and such. But it's the New Age Salon, which means only really young people (like under 57) can go here. I might rename it the New Ache Salon, since every time I play soccer, I seem to develop a new ache.
