We have been in the automotive industry for over 50 years. Larry Jones opened his first Exxon gas station in downtown Schertz in 1969, and then a second one on Pat Booker Rd in 1970. He went on to run many gas stations - including transmission and mechanic shops - in and around San Antonio. His father and brother were also heavily involved in the business.
The New Braunfels stores are now being run by his four sons (Marty, Ben, John, and Jay) - thus the 4J name. Though he is now retired, you'll still find Larry around the shops. The same values that have fueled our success over the last 50+ years are still alive and well today: honesty, great customer service, speed, and treating your vehicles as if they were our own.

I found this location when looking for a place to take my car in for an inspection.
I loved how friendly, knowledgeable, and caring the staff was that I immoderately came back with our 2nd car to have the AC checked out.
This is my new go-to spot for any car services as I can trust they care about my experience and the well being of my vehicle instead of simply making a profit.

The staff was super friendly and informative!
I’ve had an issue with my car overheating for about three years now
I’ve tried MANY mechanics and spent around 3,000+ dollars trying to fix the problem
Was even convinced to fix other things irrelevant to the overheating lol
But 4j was SUPER quick and only took a day to fix the problem
And notified me of a few other problems but don’t make you feel pressured to fix it then And there
I highly recommend this place!! Super great(:
Oh and they seemed to be really grateful
And surprised when I tipped…
I also recommend tipping for appreciation

Brought my daughters vehicle here for service just purchased this vehicle for her. Check engine light and noise from vehicle, the manager (Eric) had his technician drive it to see what the problem could be. Parts were not local left over night picked up next day before noon. No check engine light and noise gone. Great Job Guys

This family owned shop is great. Easy to find from the street and access. Came for an oil change. Was treated with respect and staff polite. Service was fast and prices are reasonable. Guest area is kept clean. They do have coffee for you. Also vending machine. Will come back again.
