An instant success, local papers named Hunter's "The best place to meet, " "The best place to make a deal" and "The most romantic restaurant.". The Hunter's Inn was reborn in 2002 through the efforts of Washington natives Fred and Murray Berman. The two brothers combined have more than 60 years of restaurant experience.
Since they took control over the restaurant's operations, immediate improvements were made to the quality of food and service. The Hunter's Inn changed its name to The Hunter's Bar and Grill in 2014. Concentrating on fresh fish, quality meats and innovative menu selections as well as large entree salads, pasta, ribs, burgers and good old American comfort food.

I cannot give a 3.5 or I would. Here's the deal with Hunter's. The food is pretty conventional and a bit overpriced. The drink I had was a surprisingly underwhelming margarita. I also had Ruben sandwich, that I can best describe as bland and without much in the way of corned beef.
On the bright side, the place was clean and the staff were courteous, albeit slow. If you are in the area and hungry, it is convenient, but I would not make a special trip there.

Deserving of one instead of zero because the bartender on September 10 @ 9.20pm was very nice.
Ordered fish tacos at 9.20 with them saying the kitchen is about to close.
Twenty minutes later, they tell me they are out of tacos. There were probably 8 customers in the entire bar place. What a joke of a job by the kitchen staff, communication here was awful.
Side note: the bar tender kindly provided me with extra limes after I requested them for my Muel, then after I squeezed them into the Muel, he topped me off with extra Vodka without asking... Maybe it's seen as a favor by some, but I was driving

We always like to go to the best local restaurants and Hunter's Bar and Grill is one of those exceptional places to have an amazing meal or to just hang out by the bar. We had a group of 8 and they set us up in a nice private area. They have a wide variety of delicious appetizers like Calamari which was made exactly the way I like. I also recommend their fajitas but everyone enjoyed what they had. If you are in Potomac? Go to Hunters, you will be glad you did.

An odd experience, decor was like the place was having an identity crisis. Burgers were delicious and service was wonderful but employees were speaking with a manager or owner who was loud and talking about cash register issues and how to correct a transaction from earlier in the evening and it kinda was a buzz kill. The gentleman and a woman accompanying him were loud and spoke about issues that should have been handled quietly, behind the scenes, not as we were taking to enjoy a late bite.
