It was in November of 1971 that Dr. George Randolph opened the doors of our dental practice with a vision of providing honest dentistry in a caring partnership with each patient. It is this vision that inspires us to follow in his footsteps, and it is this vision that leads us daily. Our conservative, honest and quality approach to dentistry has allowed us to enjoy the trust and respect of our patients and now several generations of families.
Dr. George and Diane met at Northwestern Dental School. They found their way out to San Diego and together opened the Randolph Family Dental Practice in November of 1971. We cannot believe how quickly time has flown by since Dr. George's retirement in 2005! After her retirement from hygiene, Diane enjoyed spending time in the office, seeing patients and helping with office work.
The Solana Beach office on North Cedros Avenue was built in 2009 and it has allowed us to offer our patients a comfortable environment, accommodate more patients conveniently, and has enabled us to continue to improve upon the high quality of our dentistry for the future.
We all feel lucky to be part of such a great community and to get to know so many amazing people who come through our doors, and we've found that everyone has been enjoying the facility and the warm, welcoming atmosphere that it and our great team provides.

Dr. Cantwell received a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington, where he met his wife Laurie. The new Cantwell family moved to Bozeman, Montana where Dr. Cantwell received his M.S. in Organic Chemistry, working on the synthesis of drugs to be used in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.

Amazing!! my last dentist really messed up on some cavity fillings and i’ve been very nervous to go back to a dentist ever since. but my first appointment was so nice. all of them made me feel so seen and heard which didn’t happen at my last dentist. really love them just after my first appointment! nothing but good things to say about them !

Dr. Randolph is one of a kind dentist. Emphasis on extremely kind, knowledgeable and professional.
I recently had a bridge replacement and Dr. Randolph and his assistant Dee Dee made it a very pleasurable experience. Now how many times does anyone feel like any dental procedure is pleasurable.
On a scale of 1-10, I would definitely rate Dr. Randolph 10+++. If you are looking for the top of the class dentist, go no further than Dr. Randolph.

Dr Bob is the best dentist I’ve ever had, but he should also be a professor. Over the years I have learned a lot from him about the complexity and importance of dental health and I know my teeth and my overall health are the better for it. He has a top notch staff of professionals and he is compassionate and thorough about the care provided by the entire team.

So many people dread going to the dentist but I must say Dr. Randolph’s practice is so amazing. Along with Dr. Randolph, dental hygienists and office staff you are made to feel so comfortable and welcomed. There level of expertise and professionalism make them stand head and shoulders above any of my previous dentists.
My hygienist Shawna was outstanding as it was my first time with her. She cared about my dental hygiene and explained each step of the exam. I’m only hopeful she’ll continue to have me as a patient as I haven’t attended to my dental hygiene as religiously as I should have

Dr Randolph and his hygienist Michelle and entire team were so kind and thorough and professional. They took so much time with me explaining lots of details of dental care and listening to my history. I am very impressed by Dr Randolph and would highly recommend him. Everyone at this office is as nice as they can be. They balance professionalism and kindness which don't always seem to go hand-in-hand. I'm not sure anyone ever said that they love going to the dentist, but this is as good as it gets. I'm mostly under the care of Dr. Cantwell and the awesome Alicia, but have also had some time with Dr. Bob. They are all fantastic. The last two times I was there they had the music going (not muzak, real tunes), and honestly, it makes the experience so much more enjoyable and happy. It's so nice to hear some upbeat music over the drilling, definitely

Love Dr Bob and Dee Dee they make a great team. Been a patient almost 5 yrs and travel 30mins to have them take care of my dental health. Most recently had a crown done and it was smooth sailing.
The hygienist (forget her name) is also amazing and extremely gentle.

I had an appointment with Dr. Randolph today as a new patient and had an outstanding experience. The office staff was friendly and my dental hygienist was professional and personable. I've been a client of Dr Randolph for over a decade. In that time I have been fortunate to see him mostly for routine cleanings and a couple cavities. His facility is built like a beautiful million dollar home and the staff is so professional and caring - I always feel great visiting there.
Last weekend, however I tumbled off my bike and broke a tooth off! I was concerned about showing up to work looking like a hillbilly so Bob made special arrangements to fix me up early Monday morning and my smile is back to normal again. Thanks for taking care of me!

I'm a dental professional so when I tell you that Dr. Bob Randolph is the best I know what I'm talking about. I've been going to him, out of network, for over five years now and will very much miss his professionalism, skill and general concern for my well-being.
If you are lucky enough to become one of their 6 new patients per month (seven this month!) you will be in the best hands on the coast in north county.

I've known Dr. Bob as a former soccer teammate from decades past. He is a great guy, who also happens to be wonderfully educated and skilled at whatever he endeavors to do.
He and his team just did some replacement fillings for me a couple of days ago, which were done efficiently and at a fair price, as are any routine cleanings.
The office is first class in its team, technology, warmth and design. Highly recommend.

Our family loves Dr Bob and his team. They are modern, clean, easy to work with and always make you feel comfortable. My four year fell asleep in the chair last cleaning he was so relaxed and when my 7 yr old had to have his teeth sealed ;( he didn't even know anything major was going on.

We love Dr. Bob! Very supportive and helpful...good recommendations and conservative financially. I never felt like I was getting bad advice. My daughter loves Dr. Bob - we had an insurance change and had to change dentists. Such a bummer, we miss this office now more than ever! Hopefully we'll be able to go back there in the future!

I just got off the phone from a very upsetting call. My experience with this dentist has been ok. His office staff is very good. The problem I have is with the office manager who is also his mother. I have been taking my daughters to Dr Randolph for years. Their father and I have been divorced for over 10 years now. Their medical bills have always been paid for by both of us 50/50 and I have paid all my bills for my children. Since my eldest daughter has turned 18 my child support ended. She has since seen the dentist and currently has a bill due there. Without the support and with this

On my first visit, the staff and dental assistant were fantastic. They explained the process about my insurance and even what they were doing, step by step, with the x-rays and cleaning.
After the first examination, they found a couple cavities that needed to be filled, and the staff took care of contacting my insurance to then let me know the estimated out of pocket before I came to do the work.
They confirmed by second appointment by phone and text

I am a seriously reluctant dental patient, postpone cleanings and dental work as long as possible. I recently had some fillings done by Dr. Randolph after waiting over two years to get them done. You see the previous dentist I used replaced a couple of my old fillings and it took about 6 months for the sensitivity and discomfort to go away. I can honestly say that I felt no pain (sans a small area in my jaw where the shot was administered) on the SAME day that Dr. Bob finished my dental work. The office is lovely and clean. The staff friendly and my overall experience
