Dr. Alice Toriello graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007 as the Vice President of her class. After an internship at the Cleveland Zoo, she practiced for three years in a busy urban vet clinic in Detroit, Michigan. She then worked for two years at All Creatures Veterinary Care in central Pennsylvania where she focused on exotic and pocket pet medicine.
At MetroPet Veterinary Clinic we believe that animal health is a human affair. With compassion, advanced technology, and progressive pet medicine we collaborate with owners to help their pets live their best possible lives. Our goal is for each owner and pet to live, love and laugh together, resting assured that we have given them the best individualized plan for their family.
Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately.

Named by Dr. Alice's oldest son (his first word), Geckin came to us from Healing Hearts Ferret Rescue after she was surrendered in an animal hoarding situation.

I was thrilled to see there was an experienced caring exotic vet from OSU here in the Cleveland area. We have taken our beloved bunny to Dr Alice now for 3+ years. Surgery was necessary and during Covid other people had delays for their fur babies. Not us (lucky bunny) MetroPet saw the lumps as urgent & put him in the next few days. I appreciate all the staff, they adore my bunny each visit. I trust their caring hands & they are affordable. The office is open 7 days a week and offers some evening appointments. This place was awesome! My current vet only does annual wellness exams and vaccines. Metropet accepts new clients so I took my indoor only cat, Lilly, there after she went missing outside for three weeks.
The staff was extremely friendly. Lilly was scared but the vet asst, Noah, held her and comforted her like she was his own! It was great to see the staff show so much compassion towards my Lilly. Noah and the Doctor were the greatest! They took time and inspected Lilly thoroughly. They were very gentle with her. They were very knowledgeable and explained everything they believed was best for

Don't recommend this place. They had my dog with prior seizure activity (that they were aware of) on a monthly prevention labeled with a giant "Do not use for dogs with prior seizure activity" warning. When I discovered this myself on Chewy.com, I brought it up and requested a different monthly preventative. It was clearly a problem that I questioned. The Vet encouraged me to continue my dog on the seizure-warning preventative but advised adding a seizure control medication on top of it... One we paid her practice for every month, of course.

I recently rescued my four foot and wanted to have him checked out to be sure he is in good health. Scheduling was easy and their hours are amazing. Sawyer was seen by Noah and Dr. Allison who were just wonderful with him. From the time we arrived until we left everyone was so friendly and answered all my questions and concerns. Their follow up was just as good calling with his test result. I highly recommend this vet clinic .

Would never recommend this clinic especially for my rabbit after the botched spay performed by the "new" vet today. The "new" vet was never disclosed to be performing surgery on my daughters rabbit and they kept the rabbit under anesthesia for 2 hours. The rabbit was discharged right after surgery and died an hour later. Go to a real specialist these people are not qualified.

I love the pet hospitality this clinic provides! In the past, the only way for my cat, Calvin, to get an exam was for him to be sedated because he would get so scared and lash out, even when taking gabapentin beforehand. At our first visit at MetroPet, both my kitties were given time to warm up to the homey exam room, which featured toys and a window seat. The vet did an excellent job of distracting Calvin with treats and calming oils to get a quick, but thorough examination. And I was allowed to be alongside Calvin the whole time to give extra comfort as needed. Overall, we had an outstanding

I like everything about MetroPet! The staff are kind, courteous, well informed, and truly care about the animals and the people who visit the establishment. They place the safety and care of pets first, and they have taken great steps to ensure you are safe and comfortable during this pandemic. Knocked off a star because they claim that they do not have a Yelp coupon for the first visit, though they obviously have one as you can see on their Yelp site.. Anyways overall good visit.

I started taking my pets to Metropet a little over a year ago and I could not be happier about making the switch. The staff is great, super friendly, helpful, and always make me feel welcomed. Each time we are there the Vet takes her time, explains everything, answers all of my questions, and overall is very knowledgeable and friendly.
As a new patient there was a bit of a wait for our first appointment, but it was definitely worth it so don’t let deter you.

My dog has been a patient at this veterinary clinic since we brought him home two years ago. The staff is great and have been quite helpful in diagnosing a skin condition which I had not noticed.
They have a nice online portal to communicate and request medicines , and an auto ship program for maintenance meds for flea and tick etc.
Due to Covid they come out to your car to pick up and drop off your pets.

I have been to several vets in Ohio, and Dr. Mary Ann Tima blows them all out of the water. If you're looking for a new vet, I cannot recommend her highly enough. I take a lot of time to research my pets' conditions and treatment options and I have been dissatisfied with my previous vets' level of experience, expertise and willingness to communicate. I brought my dog (now deceased) here on my boyfriend's recommendation. He was a mild mannered dog who turned into a raging beast when taken to the vet's. He actually was fine at Metropet, mostly because they didn't put him up on the table, and they all talked baby-talk to him, which I found nauseating, but hey, whatever works.

Our experience with MetroPet was outstanding. We were taken into an exam room as soon as I finished the paperwork. The vet tech came in and made sure we were comfortable. Even gave our dog a treat. Dr. Jones was very thorough in her exam and even had a bag of treats to give our dog to help keep him calm. She explained all our options and helped us make an informed decision. The place was very clean and the staff was exceptional. They even brought a bowl of water for our dog while we waited. Would definitely recommend this vet to anyone looking for one.

This veterinary clinic is amazing. They are so helpful and attentive to their patients. I took my sick cat in there on a same day appointment and they did an examine, gave him medication and food to help him. They called to check on him twice and everyone was so nice and concerned about my furry kid. I will be moving all my fur babies to this clinic. They also have a cool app to make appointments and track your pets records. So cool. I recommend them if you live on the west side!!

Most of the staff at Metropet are friendly and kind. They always give me a detailed estimate with "low end" and "high end," noting which items are strongly recommended and which are more optional. While I greatly appreciate this consideration for us on tight budgets, the fact remains that their prices are higher than most I've seen.

The team at Metropet are truly a caring bunch. I have been brining my two dogs to Dr. Alice for years! She has helped create a regime of pills and diet for my dog with seizures and had an early stage of cancer plus just old age that kept her healthy for much longer than anticipated.I've never felt pressured to use unneeded medication or to put her down because she is high maintanance.

This place is the place to go for your animals. Dr. Alice is one of the nicest vets i have ever met. due to my finances i can't afford to go anywhere but a low cost clinic for my dogs right now. but if i could afford to stay going to dr alice i would. its not the price of the services that is expensive but the price to see the doctor.
