The Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, Inc. was established in the 1930's. Our father Joseph A Caggiano, was employed as a tradesman for several years before becoming a Funeral Director with the firm. In 1981, an opportunity arose to purchase the business and his dream of owning and operating a funeral home was realized.
Although he passed away in 1997, his children, a son and three daughters; Joseph J. Caggiano, Licensed Funeral Director, Lisa M. Caggiano, Licensed Funeral Director and Manager, Jean O. Meade and Maria T. Caggiano-Van Duffelen, Office Administrator, continue his legacy of caring, compassionate service to the community.

My family and I are so incredibly appreciative of everyone at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home as we prepared to say goodbye to my dad in May. With so many state restrictions in place, I worried we wouldn’t be able to give my dad the service he deserved. Everyone at Vander Plaat-Caggiano was so helpful, compassionate and kind – always warmly greeting us and guiding us to an absolutely beautiful memorial for my dad. All of the arrangements were perfectly coordinated, from confirming our Pastor from Our Lady of Mount Carmel, to the beautiful music for the Chapel (Be Not Afraid, On Eagles Wings

The services just finished. I need to take a moment to express this. We lost a loved one in a fatal car accident. We were hesitant to come here based on the negative review listed. After coming in and seeing how spacious the parking lot and building were we had to speak with management. Rich could not have been more respectful, courteous, and compassionate. Staff was respectful. They answered every question and made a horrible tragedy tolerable.
They are great people. Thank you.

Once they know your preferences and you have given them direction, they guide you in an almost effortless manner. Every aspect of my father's funeral went off without a hitch. Their attention to detail made his funeral, from the viewing through the entombment with a military send-off, to the repast luncheon, and ending with the encasement/ presentation of the American Flag a memorable
