I called because of a dear friend recommended them for a new ac and heater since the ones in my new home were the originals and they were installed in early 1990s . I was moving to Charlotte for a job and she said they would be the best for the price and Micheal is the best in town. I had Rudy Cools replace my AC systems on my house. Aside from feeling a sense of trustworthiness from them, I also had other comps so I know they were fair. When they came and did the work they were extremely careful in the house and my kids thought their guys were fantastic.
Since having them install, Mark has come out to perform our service maintenance and he's been fantastic. He's very knowledgeable and reliable.
I'd say that overall, I feel their trustworthy, responsive and reliable. Great company.

Very well organized process and no hard sell. Always do your homework first. I found these folks on Yelp and scheduled a diagnosis. They came out and evaluated my current unit. The technician recommended and new unit, but explained that it could be repaired, but pointed out the issues. They gave me a fair price for a new AC unit (do your homework first, so you'll know if the price is fair). The installation took place a couple weeks later. I am satisfied with this service.

Mark from Rudy Cools performed our annual furnace maintenance and is very knowledgeable and professional. We had mold in one of our vents and he was able to determine the issue and where the moisture issue was coming from. Appreciated Marks ability to explain and educate me and his diligence in checking all of our other vents for possible mold issues. Would highly recommend Rudy Cools.

Awesome service! Had HVAC system replaced in a 33 year old house - and have gotten several home energy reports from Duke Energy and they have consistently rated this house among the most efficient homes in this area. I began using Rudy Cools after I moved into my new townhouse and the previous owner recommended them. I’ve had them come out to service my HVAC system twice a year and they’re awesome. The previous owner replaced the system, but then I had an issue with it. Rudy Cools showed up promptly, after hours, and on a holiday. Great experience with Rudy Cools! Owner responded quickly on the weekend and had David come out the next day (Monday). David was prompt, professional, trustworthy, and talked me through everything as he was doing. Our A/C unit was short cycling and I was expecting the worst. David was able to quickly diagnose the issue and fix it for next to nothing. David explained the semi-annual preventive maintenance plan which we will be doing now. He was not pushy at all and explained how there is no incentive for him to sell/upcharge, which other HVAC companies often do. Highly recommend!

Mark and Michael are AMAZING! We had some issues with our AC just a couple weeks after moving into our new home and we ended up having 4 different contractors come tell us 4 different things. Before finding Rudy Cools, I'd tried other companies in the area. Rudy Cools is by far the best in my opinion. Extremely professional, courteous, and extremely efficient. I hired Rudy Cools for HVAC maintenance and was really impressed. The scheduler, Karyn, was very responsive and communication was great. The technician Mark was excellent. He took time to educate me on the system and explained everything he did. He also uncovered a piece of weather-stripping inside the internal unit which was left behind during construction. We are out of town property owners. Another company told us a fairy tale and said we needed a new $4000 system. I was in the Navy. I understand motors, compressors, and cooling systems. There was no plausible explanation. No one at the other guys could explain how the observed symptoms justified the proposed system replacement.
Then I called Rudy Cools. They sent an expert with excellent troubleshooting skills. The actual problem was the AC compressor motor starting capacitor. We got charged for the hard start kit, R22, and the visit. Total $568. That was 4 months ago. The system

Called and had Emil show up within a few hours. He diagnosed the problem in 10 minutes and had the unit working within the hour. The run capacitor had failed and Emil replaced it. Total cost was $336.77. I am a first time home owner so not sure if this is a standard cost for this type of repair but my pregnant wife was very happy to have the condo cooled off by the time she was home from work. Our AC evaporator coil went kaput and our outside condenser was freezing up. Rudy Cools responded to my request for a quote here on Yelp and came to the house the next day. The tech who made the first visit stayed for more than an hour, taking measurements and writing out 3 very specific quotes for different scenarios. The timeline was initial contact- Wednesday. First visit- Thursday. Installation of a new AC condenser and evaporator coil- the following Monday. They were even early on Monday morning for the install. The work was quick, efficient and clean. Our AC went out this summer which is unacceptable for my Yankee blood. I searched a number of HVAC companies here and chose Rudy because they are a local business and I am so glad I did. They arrived on a Friday and when it was found that the unit would need to be replaced they informed me they would need to come the next week. But instead of a typical "I'm sorry sir" leaving us to sit in the heat over the weekend, the repair man went and got a window unit for us to borrow. As an update to my review yesterday, I will say my situation was an unfortunate one. Within a matter of under an hour of writing my review, I received a call from Rudy Cools. I also received a message from the owner here. They take full ownership of the glitch in their phone system and acknowledge my calls. Since they did come around with customer service after my complaint, I do have to give them props and up the stars in my review. I still can't say anything about their services and ability to repair, but maybe in the future, I can call them up and give them a 5 star review then! Hopefully
