DJ Misha started DJ'ing in 2001, the year he fell in love with dance music and wanted to give people the same feeling he had experienced when listening and dancing to an amazing DJ set. DJ technology has evolved dramatically in the last decade, but the essence of the DJ has remained the same. The job is simple, select good music and blend it to create an experience.

Since 2001, DJ Misha has been focused on playing good music, getting dance floors moving and making parties fun by playing his unique sound of house music and edm on the turntables.
Spinnin' records for dancing crowds at San Diego clubs, lounges, venues and private parties, including being the go to DJ for Pacific Magazine's event productions and more recently playing festivals for larger events like Margarita Month, Uncorked Wine Festival and Intel's corporate employee block party in the Gaslamp district.

Rates and prices may vary depending on date/time, location, equipment required, number of people attending.

DJ Misha's styles of music selection can best be describes as modern dance music - tracks with a funky bassline, a catchy hook and sweet sounding vocal establishment. Influenced by elements of funk and jazz with guitars and synths - driving the dance floor energy with sensible programming choices. Sticking to the roots of the essence of the DJ - who's main purpose is to select good music and mix it together, seamlessly, to create a mood.

I had the easiest time coordinating with DJ Misha was as easy as could be, I felt as though he had a genuine interest to work with me and make my vision work.
The set was dope AF as he played with a saxophonist and it 100% made the evening a success.

Misha was the DJ at our wedding. He is going to be a little different then a typical wedding DJ you may hire because he plays more club, dance style music and totally rocked the dance floor at our party, everyone had an awesome time and it was a night to remember. He also made the process to hire him very easy. I would recommend him to my friends as a great local San Diego DJ at a reasonable price, great music selection and good sound system.

I remember seeing DJ Misha perform at the then-new FIREHOUSE bar in Pacific Beach (circa 2008). Best SD DJ I had ever seen, and I still stand by that. His deep house and downtempo lounge tracks were right up my alley. It was the perfect vibe for the bar's original iteration. He gave me a sample CD and I loved it. I was always happy to see him DJing a set whenever I'd be out bar hopping.

My fiancé is a music junkie, and once he heard one of Misha's and Jason's sets online was done looking for the perfect soundtrack to our night. We sent over some tracks and artists we were grooving on and Misha created an amazing set. He effortlessly blended our style of music in with some more popular songs and read the room like the professional he is.

We hired DJ Misha for our anniversary party and he exceeded our expectations! We wanted everyone to dance and have a great time and he made it happen. He's great at reading the crowd and you can tell he loves what he does. He kept the party going well into the night and 3 days later my feet still hurt! If you're looking for a DJ don't hesitate. Misha is professional and reliable and I would definitely hire him again.

DJ Misha played at our annual holiday party and did an amazing job. He read the crowd so well and had everyone smiling, laughing and dancing - I enjoyed the ambiance he created for us. He was very in tune to our party and even turned down the tunes when my husband gave a toast (without us having to ask). Never once did I feel the music wasn't suitable for the crowd, Misha was spot on the entire night. We considered creating playlists for the evening and not hiring a DJ for our event - I'm so glad we didn't go that route. It eliminated the stress of constantly having to figure out what to play next

The DJ that I hired for my birthday canceled on me so I called around for DJs the day of the party and DJ Misha was the only one to respond. He came to the rescue and I could not ask for a better DJ! He was just awesome and very professional. I gave him zero direction for the party and he was able to read the crowd, find the right music for the crowd, and get people moving and having fun... amazing! I am so glad I found him!

We hired DJ Misha and his saxophone playing partner for our company Holiday Party in December and I have never gotten so much positive feedback from all who attended. Misha was dj'ing at a fashion show fundraiser and I approached him to dj an upcoming event I was hosting the following week. As a former Gaslamp promoter, I can tell you his prices are extremely reasonable especially considering he has his own equipment. To top it off, he was responsive and prompt, completely different from some of the cocky djs I've dealt with. I was told by several people that attended the event that DJ Misha kept up the vibe and helped to bring in the crowd. Highly recommend him!
