It was Martha's first hair appointment at an upscale, trendy hair salon in Chicago, Illinois as a young girl, when she discovered the artistry of hair. In awe at how the hairstylists at this salon gracefully cut and styled clients, Martha couldn't help but think at that moment "I want to be a hairstylist!"

A Marvelous Curl Cut is a cut for curly-wavy, curly, kinky and/or coily hair (3b -4c). It incorporates a curl by curl method and a curl grouping method which is done on dry defined curls. In this service the hair is usually cut first then is taken through a detoxification/cleanse treatment, hydration and lastly styled and set with curl products.

My experience at Martha salon wasn't what I expected. I gave her two stars because her space was clean neat organized, and she used some very quality products; however, I reached the salon at 1:45 for a 2 o'clock appointment and did not leave until after 6:00 p.m. due to her starting a new client sitting me in the styling chair. At the same time, she worked on her until it was time for my cut. I gave her a $150 plus a 20% tip and purchased two products(paid $222 total, and one of the bristles on the brush was broken) for a service stated on the website will only be 135. My cut was not precise at

I went to Martha for a curly cut and she was absolutely AMAZING! She took her time and explained things about my hair to make styling easier at home. My haircut is amazing and I've gotten so many compliments on my new look. I'm already looking forward to seeing her again and seeing what other fun things we can do with my hair! If you have curly hair in the Phoenix area and are looking for some guidance and TLC for you hair, book with Martha! I also love that all new clients must book a consultation first, this way everyone is sure of the expectations of the visit.
